I've tried this role-play on multiple forums before, but it seemed like no one was interested. So I'm giving it a shot here.
"The Wheel of time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. In one Age, called the Third Age by some, an Age yet to come, an Age long past, a wind rose. The wind was not the beginning. There are neither beginnings nor endings to the turning of the Wheel of Time. But it was a beginning.."
Hello, I've decided to create a roleplay dedicated to the world of the "The Wheel of Time" by James Oliver Rigney, Jr, otherwise known as Robert Jordan. This roleplay will take place in the same timeframe as the actual story, and will consist of the same species of creatures from the story: Channelers: Aes Sedai(and their Warders, of course) Asha'man, Wise Ones, Winfinders, et cetera. Shadowspawn: Myrddraal, Trollocs, Dragkhar, Darkhounds, and Darkfriends. Warriors of the mighty Seanchean empire, or perhaps you'd like to try your hand at an Aiel Warrior? Ordinary human beings also play an important part in the development of the story, although their parts may seem a bit more tedious than the rest. You may choose whichever land you wish to descend from: Andor, Tear, Illian, Murandy, Cairhien, Altara, Amadicia, Tarabon, Ghealdan, Arad Doman, Saldaea, Kandor, Arafel, or Shienar, Seanchean, The Aiel Waste, or Mountains of Dhoom/Shayol Ghul are the places you have to choose from. Your background story is your own responsibility. You decide the history of the character you create. The name of your character is just as important as their appearance, because it describes something about them. To help you out a bit I found a Wheel of Time name generator online: https://www.wotmud.org/names/
Search through the names depending on what species you choose to roleplay as.
I usually welcome anyone who wants to roleplay to the threads I make, but I do hope that people with actual knowledge of the WOT world will join. I could spend the entire day describing each and every detail of a specific type of character, or the land from which that character descended, but I really don't want to do that now just in case no one joins. Once I'm sure that people are interested in joining my roleplay I'll fill in the details of each race and land so that no one is confused.
Remember: This roleplay is its own Alternative Universe aside from the original WOT plot. There will be similarities, of course, but everyone is expected to play as their own original character and not one from the actual storyline.
Like I said, once I know that I can get some people interested in the roleplay, I'll fill in the blanks so that everyone can enjoy, and no one will be ignorant.
Here's a sign-up sheet for those of you who're interested in joining the roleplay:
