Do any of us go to college??

Wow, can I ask why? 🙂 Once I had a similar experience. I was almost dropped out of college only once. It was a shame to get caught copying an essay about The Crucible , but I corrected myself and rewrote it myself.

1st year in college, all lectures are online due to covid, ive watched some of them in bed lol. lectures are recorded so u dont have to be there when they are live, some of the professors will mark u absent tho. but i dont think they can dock u points for absentesim.
Last monday was my first time on campus, I went up to use the library facilities and to study. Mon to Thurs 9am-10pm with lots of breaks inbetween. The campus is huge and its embarrassing getting lost all the time and having to ask for directions. Only 4 weeks left to exams then freedom!!
 
I went to college and it was all for nothing. I never worked a day in my profession. Getting a job is a hard part of life. It takes a lot of energy. I retrained at the time and am working in a different field. It's a good living and I haven't regretted it one bit.

Why have you been kicked out so many times? I studied at college and I liked it at first. But then I found a dream job not related to the profession. My parents insisted that I graduate from college, so I turned to NO LINKS for help. Now I have an education that I don't need because I'm not going to work in computer science (I would probably agree to a game designer and all). I don't know if it makes sense to spend time in college if you don't plan to work in this profession

understand you, I too never worked a day in my profession. Because it turned out with the specialty of a historian-archaeologist it is not so easy to find a job. I had to get another degree in the field of confectionery, for which I also worked for a relatively short time in a restaurant, as it turned out that I did not like this profession
 
I plan to go to college but it's too expensive for me. I have a part-time job, however, it's not enough. I am thinking about student loan, who can tell me more about it? I don't know much about it, I just once took payday loan at NO LINKS! and that's all. Thanks in advance!

I’ve studied interior architecture & got my degree but decided I wanted something else. so currently I’m studying Marketing, Journalism and Communication.
 
I went to college. I studied computer science. I had a lot of fun ngl.

If I could do it again, I would study data science.

There is a lot of BS majors. Filler for colleges to make money.

Though…there are many lucrative and important positions that require a degree..

Doctor, lawyers, teachers, and so on..

I’m not a big fan of the art majors so don’t ask my opinion on that.

Although I agree Doctors Lawyers and Teachers require degrees, it's possible to succeed without a college degree. But with so many programs designed to take you from having no experience in a field to being highly-skilled and job-market ready, having a college degree offers a clear advantage. But is not necessary.

I’m not disagreeing…I believe experience > college..but some positions require it.
 
I think college preps young adults for the real world regardless of major. I was completely on my own my first two years in a country I never been to and had to learn life rather quickly. Think about all the things that are done for you while living at home along with the environment you lived in and that all going away overnight. Being as far as over 7500Km away is a bit of a culture shock for sure! However, I met a few amazing people who already were in my situation and made me feel at home and were caring enough to mentor me with life in the big city.

Yeah, homesickness was a daily issue at first and started to fade away but it never disappeared!

I’d have to disagree, many grads aren’t prepared after they graduate here in the states.

I don't know about America and what they do through college to prepare. Sorry, I just don't know the culture well enough to say. It was always a social byproduct to "Be strong and Independent" here. Especially with girls so they don't have to rely on someone to support us. Yes, we do what I think is called "Gold Diggers" girls who sought after the wealthy so they never have to work and do whatever. However, they scream it as they are so superficial which makes them not very becoming and a turn off to most.

I come from a family where I was the only man, so man in the typical sense isn’t me.

I do believe in female empowerment but like you said, that sometimes is about looking cool, or following the fad.
 
i go to college all the time but security keeps throwing me out ,, they just keep babbling some thing about "having to be enrolled there "how did you get in the teachers lounge?" "where are your pants" blah ..blah blah ..damn elitist system
 
I'm a final year student, study Computer Science. I try to do the hardest thing first. Also I found writing service at NO LINKS to buy case study. These guys are professionals in writing and proofreading. As for me such services are great option for students. They helped me a lot.

Yea, I've have my Masters degree from the college of hard knocks in Philadelphia but looking to get my doctrines degree in how to make money in the black market and not get caught
 
I am back in college now for the second time in my life. I first went and got my Associate of Applied Science with a major in medical laboratory science. I am back in school now getting my bachelors in Medical lab science. Same job just more $$.

Yes I go to college. I will have a first class honours degree in a few weeks and graduate top of my class (for real), then im off to do a masters in October then a year after that do a PhD. So I will be Doctor Cookie in 3/4 years time. Field of study - Forensic psychology and criminology (BSc, PhD), computer science (for an MSc). Specialism - cluster B personalities in particular antisocial personality disorder and psychopathy.

The decision to go to college is an important step. Getting a college degree takes time: at least four years for most people. It also costs tens of thousands of dollars to get a college degree. a dissertation is the final step yes. Covid and my health threw a wrench into things so I've wrapping up some other sections. Whether I can and should move to clear some practical requirements and relocate to do that is the big question now.

Im the only one of my year to go for acting, and the first in about 3 years as well!

Oh wow, that is super awesome. I love acting. I love Film and Television. Excellent! Way to go! NEVER give up! Keep going to college and I hope you get some good Film, and T.V. jobs in the near future too. I will be your 1st fan. NO doubt! That sounds like a great class to take. I have taken acting classes before too and lots more. I have been in some movies and T.V. As an extra. It was a blast. Sometimes I would get paid and sometimes NOT. I love what you are taking. Turns out, I'm basically never leaving school since I work at one now.
 
I studied at Community College, but dont think id ever survive in mainstream colleges or university. Too stressful.

You can still get good jobs/careers without them.
 
i`m graduating this year, but now i am still a college student,
who after 4 years of studying still haven`t understood what im learning now and who i want to be in the future
may the problem be the fact that im just playing phone games during the lectures, using ******in learning quizes cause im not interested even in right answers
i dunno i just didn`t like my studying programm from the beginning and yet nothing have changed
its still awfully boring
so don`t go to college if you dont know exactly what do you want to study☕😢

I go to a community college and tbh I kinda think I should’ve gone to the university I wanted to go to for the student life… I got accepted and had money to go to the university but decided to go to community college for the first 2 years. Yea basically just a more depressed high school with no student life! Anyways transfer there for 3rd and 4th year.
