This is why Christian religion is a farce. It’s full of hypocritical bigots, not unlike the Pharisees of old that even Jesus thought were assholes, and often used them as examples of evil in his stories.
They think they’re so good, so holy, so much better than the rest of us. Doesn’t the New Testament teach that the kingdom of God belongs to the meek, the humble, the poor, the outcasts?
A lot of these fundamentalist spend their lives in either the Old Testament, where everything is bad and God is all wrath and jealousy, or in Revelations, talking about the end of days being nigh (which people have been doing for a thousand years anyway).
You’re all sinners. Jesus says to not worry about the speck of sawdust in your neighbour’s eye and ignore the log or plank of wood in your own (Luke 6:41 and Matthew 7:3).
How about you start looking at your own logs of wood? 🪵

Personally I don’t give a rats ass about the Bible or religion as a whole. I’ll be damned if I’m gonna live my life based on a book written some 2000 years ago by a bunch of men who didn’t know where the sun went when it set. Just speaking for myself.
