How do people feel about autism?

So out of curiosity how do people feel about ADHD and autism? Would you treat them differently bc they're different or would you treat them normal? I hope bullying won't come to anyone's mind.
If they're toxic, I treat them as I would any other toxic person. If they're good-natured, I treat them respectfully. No one gets a pass on being an a-hole because they have mental disorders.

No one wants to have it some are born with it and it’s hell it is like having a mood computer that turns on automatically and you can’t do a thing about it and when it turns on you cannot control it and it’s not something that just goes away it’s a mental disorder I KNOW a because I have members in my family who are AUTISTIC and it pains me to see what they had to go through knowing they cannot control it o get rid of it and that society will always bully harass and shame those with it because they are a little different. but we all hide our inner demons I hide my inner demons but what about you guys?

Just because it’s a mental disorder it’s not like they can control it remember it’s not something they want to do or have to do they are like puppets on strings and the brain being puppet master it is a condition that makes things happen they cannot control

As for you soundz i thought you only acted toxic in chat but I see you are just that way for real as much as I hated my family for the Hell I Been through I still love them enough to defend from disgusting Tumors who latch onto weak and suck anything you can get out of them to humiliate a attack on someone with autism is like a attack on a Mafia as you mess with them you messing with me and the last thing you ever wanna do is tango with the devil

Young people with autism should not be prime targets for activists and big pharma companies to try and coerce them onto puberty blockers and then body mutilation i.e to socially transition them, to manipulate them into becoming trans and that's what is happening, kids with autism and gay kids are their targets.

Most of the world has some form or variation of a mental illness, IMO. Society stigmatizing or ostracizing this is just unedicated rhetoric, and in chat rooms, hyperbole. Mental illness does not define people.

My personal stance is that I give people (everyone) grace to the best of my ability and try to judge others based on how they treat me, not on what society pushes forward as fact.

And here we go with bread derailing the thread to push his dull, tired, transphobic agenda yet again. Troll or bigot? That's the question.

To put the thread back on subject, autism is a facet of human life, and like many other facets, runs on a continuous spectrum from disabling to barely noticeable. I'd imagine ADHD is pretty much the same. For that very reason it's hard to give a single answer other than every single person with these conditions, like any other person, deserves to be treated fairly, decently, and with understanding.

I exposed your lies last night and yet your lies continue referring to me as bread, you done the same with JosephTheMainMan, I stand by my comments that's what they are doing to autistic children. Facts matter.

I don't want to derail this thread so this will be my final post here. Josephtheweeweenie isn't bread and that's been widely acknowledged. You however, use the same arguments, refusal to engage meaningfully and even the same language as bread.

Your statements are, as ever erroneous. You cherry pick information that fits your distorted world view and never bother to fact check or apply any critical thinking to them. Facts do indeed matter and it might be a good idea to use some for once.

Then why accuse him and me 'two different people ' of being bread? 'refusal to engage meaningfully ' you mean making salient points to which you have no counter argument, alas you just play the 'bigotry' 'transphobic ' card. You call facts 'cherry picking' and you are intolerant of anyone who has a different view from your own.

And *uneducated.

You are Bread. The massdebater. Massdebaters like you show your true colours very quickly

As you said:

That’s typical conservative and antiscience bullshit, the likes Anti-Vaxxers/conspiracy theorists and Bible Thumpers like @bread @LostCause. @JosephTheMainMan espouse.

People can be “a-holes” without them knowing it or without them intending to be a-holes because of their mental illness. Some people are psychiatrically/intellectually impaired to the point they don’t know right from wrong, in other words, they lack insight (not all conditions)

Mental illness comes in different forms, you can’t generalize, hence the concepts of legal capacity and insanity defense.
Your ideas lead to statements like: “you can deal with this by going to the gym or doing different activities etc”. i.e. self-improvement, while thinking that if you don't overcome them, you are a crybaby/weak, which is pathological behaviour on your part. Not all psychiatric problems can be solved by “toughening up” (what a bullshit expression) or by confronting them. Some conditions can only be managed by means of therapy or therapy in combination with medication, like schizophrenia, while conditions like Huntington’s disease or Pick’s disease/frontotemporal dementia, are neurodegenerative and cannot be treated at all.

That's a lie. You call people autists and sperglords in VGC and are an edgelord who uses racist memes.

I know my screen name is a play on words, but it's a mockery of the name, not the disorder. There's a difference between noticing a pattern in behaviors and how someone could be on the spectrum and mocking people because they're on the spectrum.

While I agree with the post (people on here blame their actions on autism and pedophilia, many get free passes minus the pedophilia) let's not act like you don't use the R word and act like chat is 4Chan in VGC. On here you try to behave like someone completely different because you know there's eyes on here and comments that don't violate the rules remain up forever and often linked for references when actions are called out. So cut the crap.

While I agree, it's not an excuse and no one should have to deal with it as this is a chat site not a group home. If you have unaddressed mental problems that you refuse to fix, it's no one's fault but their own and they're responsible for their own actions. No one should get a free pass like a certain reaction spammer and bully on here does. We're not licensed mental health professionals and we're not their parents. You can be empathetic towards them but not so much that it excuses their behavior because it's disrespectful to those with mental disorders who are perfectly good people and enabled this behavior is what brings about stigma and people talking to autistic people like they're children.

In some cases, refusal stems from a lack of insight. They don’t know something is wrong with them. I’m not sure Mutaeo/Lego, RyRy or Soundz have the cognitive ability and insight to see there is something wrong with them.

Ryrytime does but just uses excuses and stuff he probably has said to his parents many times to avoid being grounded.

I won't ever use my Autism to get free passes. I'm not a fan of having it to begin with let alone use it for passes. I've avoided telling people because of the bullying but that's all. My body is physically my age but my mind isn't mentally the same age as me. Idk what long words mean and still learning some things as I go. Also being a visual learner instead of a verbal learner is one of the things I do with it because I have trouble understanding steps in words :/.
