So out of curiosity how do people feel about ADHD and autism? Would you treat them differently bc they're different or would you treat them normal? I hope bullying won't come to anyone's mind.
If they're toxic, I treat them as I would any other toxic person. If they're good-natured, I treat them respectfully. No one gets a pass on being an a-hole because they have mental disorders. So out of curiosity how do people feel about ADHD and autism? Just because it’s a mental disorder it’s not like they can control it remember it’s not something they want to do or have to do they are like puppets on strings and the brain being puppet master it is a condition that makes things happen they cannot controlIf they're toxic, I treat them as I would any other toxic person. If they're good-natured, I treat them respectfully. No one gets a pass on being an a-hole because they have mental disorders.
As for you soundz i thought you only acted toxic in chat but I see you are just that way for real as much as I hated my family for the Hell I Been through I still love them enough to defend from disgusting Tumors who latch onto weak and suck anything you can get out of them to humiliate a attack on someone with autism is like a attack on a Mafia as you mess with them you messing with me and the last thing you ever wanna do is tango with the devilIf they're toxic, I treat them as I would any other toxic person. If they're good-natured, I treat them respectfully. No one gets a pass on being an a-hole because they have mental disorders.
And here we go with bread derailing the thread to push his dull, tired, transphobic agenda yet again. Troll or bigot? That's the question.Young people with autism should not be prime targets for activists and big pharma companies to try and coerce them onto puberty blockers and then body mutilation i.e to socially transition them, to manipulate them into becoming trans and that's what is happening, kids with autism and gay kids are their targets.
I exposed your lies last night and yet your lies continue referring to me as bread, you done the same with JosephTheMainMan, I stand by my comments that's what they are doing to autistic children. Facts matter. And here we go with bread derailing the thread to push his dull, tired, transphobic agenda yet again. Troll or bigot? That's the question.
To put the thread back on subject, autism is a facet of human life, and like many other facets, runs on a continuous spectrum from disabling to barely noticeable. I'd imagine ADHD is pretty much the same. For that very reason it's hard to give a single answer other than every single person with these conditions, like any other person, deserves to be treated fairly, decently, and with understanding.
I don't want to derail this thread so this will be my final post here. Josephtheweeweenie isn't bread and that's been widely acknowledged. You however, use the same arguments, refusal to engage meaningfully and even the same language as bread.I exposed your lies last night and yet your lies continue referring to me as bread, you done the same with JosephTheMainMan, I stand by my comments that's what they are doing to autistic children. Then why accuse him and me 'two different people ' of being bread? 'refusal to engage meaningfully ' you mean making salient points to which you have no counter argument, alas you just play the 'bigotry' 'transphobic ' card. You call facts 'cherry picking' and you are intolerant of anyone who has a different view from your own.I don't want to derail this thread so this will be my final post here. Your statements are, as ever erroneous. You cherry pick information that fits your distorted world view and never bother to fact check or apply any critical thinking to them. Facts do indeed matter and it might be a good idea to use some for once.
And *uneducated. Most of the world has some form or variation of a mental illness, IMO. Society stigmatizing or ostracizing this is just unedicated rhetoric, and in chat rooms, hyperbole. Mental illness does not define people.
My personal stance is that I give people (everyone) grace to the best of my ability and try to judge others based on how they treat me, not on what society pushes forward as fact.

That’s typical conservative and antiscience bullshit, the likes Anti-Vaxxers/conspiracy theorists and Bible Thumpers like @bread @LostCause. @JosephTheMainMan espouse. If they're toxic, I treat them as I would any other toxic person. That's a lie. You call people autists and sperglords in VGC and are an edgelord who uses racist memes. If they're toxic, I treat them as I would any other toxic person. If they're good-natured, I treat them respectfully. No one gets a pass on being an a-hole because they have mental disorders.
While I agree, it's not an excuse and no one should have to deal with it as this is a chat site not a group home. If you have unaddressed mental problems that you refuse to fix, it's no one's fault but their own and they're responsible for their own actions. No one should get a free pass like a certain reaction spammer and bully on here does. We're not licensed mental health professionals and we're not their parents. You can be empathetic towards them but not so much that it excuses their behavior because it's disrespectful to those with mental disorders who are perfectly good people and enabled this behavior is what brings about stigma and people talking to autistic people like they're children.People can be “a-holes” without them knowing it or without them intending to be a-holes because of their mental illness. Some people are psychiatrically/intellectually impaired to the point they don’t know right from wrong, in other words, they lack insight (not all conditions)
In some cases, refusal stems from a lack of insight. They don’t know something is wrong with them. I’m not sure Mutaeo/Lego, RyRy or Soundz have the cognitive ability and insight to see there is something wrong with them. While I agree, it's not an excuse and no one should have to deal with it as this is a chat site not a group home. Ryrytime does but just uses excuses and stuff he probably has said to his parents many times to avoid being grounded. In some cases, refusal stems from a lack of insight. My goodness, I seem to have a fan. Hi fan! Would you like an autograph? There’s a difference between being an intentional -and unintentional “díckhead” and what is appropriate or not, is a question of moral relativism. I mean, being a progressive, my morals are probably a lot more relaxed and “loose” than let’s say, a conservative Bible Thumper like @LostCause.
I’m not really a fan of religious zealots and bigots, especially Christian ones, there’s something two-faced about them, don’t mind the other zealots (as long as they leave me alone)My goodness, I seem to have a fan. Hi fan! Would you like an autograph?
So... Is that a yes? Autographs will be £20 GBP.I’m not really a fan of religious zealots and bigots, especially Christian ones, there’s something two-faced about them, don’t mind the other zealots (as long as they leave me alone)

Agreed, many people make fun of autistic people, it's not a funny thing to be joked about. It took me many years just to be able to go outside, and even now I struggle to do most things. I've lost many friends because they thought I was just a weirdo not worth being around. I hate people who use their disability for any kind as an excuse to be an idiot, it makes everybody else with autism look bad.autism is a very serious condition, that is often used now today as a crutch to justify seriously twisted behavior…
like @Mutaeo for instance using his autism as an excuse to lewdly harass teenagers 🙎🏼♀️
Out of curiosity: do you have a diagnosis? Some people have trouble socializing because of social anxiety stemming from low self-esteem unrelated to their autism. There are cases of autistic people who are very social, in the sense that they want to socialize and can read social cues, but on top of their autism also suffer from social anxiety and their asocial behaviour gets mistaken for being a typical autistic trait.Agreed, many people make fun of autistic people, it's not a funny thing to be joked about. Oh I do like a smart Dutchman.Autism is a spectrum disorder, meaning that it ranges from high functioning autists with a high or above average IQ on one end of the spectrum, to people with severely debilitating autism and cognitive deficits, who end up living in an assisted living facility, on the other end of the spectrum. Tarring every autist with the same brush is ridiculous. Regarding the latter: how much of a narcissistic gaslighter do have to be to think in terms of a “free pass”? Seriously, regarding the latter: do you think people who have difficulty tending to their basic needs really know that what they’re doing is considered “inappropriate”? I mean, there are even high functioning autists who are brilliant mathematicians, musicians, linguists, but serious “díckheads” (can’t blame them) because they can’t read social cues because of their autism, to the point they act “inappropriately” in public (the famous classical pianist Glenn Gould for example) it’s not a question of giving people a free pass. The term alone conjures up childish envy, when life shouldn’t really be about envy. Life should be about acceptance and human dignity.

I feel great. Thanks for asking. So out of curiosity how do people feel about ADHD and autism? Would you treat them differently bc they're different or would you treat them normal? I hope bullying won't come to anyone's mind.
Well here is a statement that grinds my gears:
"The serial killer shot up the school because he has Asperger's Syndrome" or "He was diagnosed with Asperger's, so he decided to go to the tourist attraction and kill as many people as possible"
I have been hearing that bullsh!t from the media for decades. Where is the proof? Do all people with Asperger's or ASD want to kill people? Where are the facts? Where are the peer reviewed articles?
Oh, it is just the media finding a scapegoat to find out the why in the events that occurred. Now wonder Autism Spectrum Disorder is now a term, and only then just wait until the media bashes that term to the ground.
It bothers me when people use medical conditions as excuses for their behavior. If you're dumb or annoying just admit it don't use a medical condition as an excuse to get away with your lack of intelligence or respect.
School shootings and serial killings are two different things but you're right. Oddly enough, both are often committed by unstable people who don't have autism and are just psychopaths.Well here is a statement that grinds my gears:
