Female UM?

I made a point in another thread that sometimes, people prefer speaking to a particular gender in regards to issues.

Could we consider getting a female UM for this reason?

A woman reporting sexual harassment might not want to deal with a male, for example. On the other foot, a male might not want to speak to a female... or maybe he does want to speak to a female over more sensitive issues that wouldn't be deemed masculine or something. It could also help to have someone see something from another viewpoint.

Not disregarding current UMs (Well, not the majority of them) being approachable or anything. Just think it might be a nice idea to have both a female and a male in a UM position for moments where this might be the case?

Thoughts?

@Kim OH so you wanna argue? Well bring it on I got my capslock. 😆
We good though 😌 🙌

@Louize hats off to you as well 👏 🙌 👍 👌, making this thread suggestion. This is probably one of the entertainment thread behind purplebutt getting fired couple yrs ago. Keep doing your thing, all I gotta say....those 39 votes and going for more got your back. NICE!

More suggestion from you LOUIZE

A simple suggestion but for some reason HR took the long route and made it so complicated. What @SouporMan said "HR you're some kinda stupid boy"

NOOOO i don't want to argue with you EVER again, i hate to admit it but you most probably ( grrr ) would win hands down , we all good bruh, can i even say that?
Seems @TheLeigh is a popular choice as a candidate now lol. While I'm not apposed to the idea at all, remember the poor gal already is admin of 2 rooms 😂, dont want to overwork her too much
A two room Admin is really not that big a deal , especially when those two rooms are not rammed , dunno why everyone is making such a big deal about it tbh.
This thread is very refreshing though even though nothing will be followed through .

Fair, but 2 different rooms, here, most likely a job too, and if they have anything else going on in their life at same time. That's alot going on at once for one person. Rather not have someone who's actually nice end up hating what they do 😂

I like the vibe of music chat but it is a smaller room user wise. I think Leigh will root out some of the issues with Singles Chat. I mean the thing that has not been done is to ask @TheLeigh if she would be willing or is at her maximum as far as things go in life.
She does not have to answer but if she desires to she can yell at us to leave her alone.

singles isnt what it used to be. it tops out now under 100. if you add music chat you have numbers that are still 30-50 under what 1 room was at its low 4 yrs ago.

if it was at 80-90 for more than 20 mins i wouldve been emailing saying there was an issue somewhere in the network.

i've always thought it was best to have someone who doesn't mod or admin any room to be an UM. can they still be biased sure but at least we wouldn't have to worry about them prematurely closing any threads that have to do with their own room.
several of those male mods we didnt have for 10 years , were those UMs. they did well , but they also let those that were ums and admins deal with their own room threads... but then thats what was expected then.

This is why I initially said no because of ability to outcome the threads.

But Leigh is the greenest flag here. You were radish until you laughed at me in north east American so 🖕
