Do sex workers(prostitues/OF) respect and empowerment or to be morally and societally criticized?
You’re letting sweaty, hideous old men (and possibly women) slap their s***** on you and use you as a *** rag. Unattractive, stinky people who you wouldn’t even look at without a paycheck. there is nothing empowering about it. it’s repulsive. if you’re not harming yourself physically with diseases, you’re harming yourself mentally.
OF too. You are nothing more than an object whose only value is sexual appeal.
Those that argue that autonomy is what its important and thats why sex workers do what they do, are wrong. Many of these people, especially OF (modern day prostitution) do not do this to "get out" of poverty. They willingly do sex work (like CORN) for the promise of money and the lifestyle it provides.
This is not a necessity it is a choice.
If Dolores, a single mother immigrant living in the bronx with 5 kids can work 2 or 3 minimum wage bobs to provide for her family (necessity), why cant these people?
Because they want the easy road (choice)
Dignity is priceless.
