Pro choice of pro life?

Limitations are necessary, in my opinion. If a woman does not choose to get an abortion prior to the age of viability, then abortion should not be an option. Viability for a fetus is between 24 and 26 weeks. Honestly, I think that the choice to end a pregnancy should be made before week 16 of the pregnancy, if not earlier. Modern technology can tell you the gender of a fetus as early as 16 weeks. Also, women can learn a lot about how their body and life will change during and after pregnancy prior to 16 weeks of pregnancy.

Personally, I would rather deal with the health risks than seek an abortion, but that is my own choice.

I’d never presume to tell anyone what to do with their body and I think women should have the choice.

This story makes you think about the timing though.

Twins born at 22 weeks and 5 days old survive.

In England & Wales, the cut off time for legal terminations is 23 weeks and 6 days.

I used to be pro choice. Now, I no longer think it's ok to allow a person to kill another. I understand the autonomy of the human body is very important, for would be mothers- so how can it be less important for the one aborted? I'm also really alarmed that men-fathers are excluded from the decision making process. I have no idea how or to what degree they should have say, but having none seems plain wrong. Also concerned about the exponential population growth/and the environmental degradation, but surely wiping out the surplus babies isn't the way......

I can't imagine the good shepherd thinking abortions were anything but a nasty sin.......Proverbs 6:16 comes to mind
