15 year old mod in General Chat

It's not even singling her out, and saying that she can't do the job properly. I think everyone in this thread thinks that pinky is more than capable of doing the job... but shouldn't since their underage, and is being exposed to things that no minor should see.

From what I've seen, pinky is amazing, and it's really sweet how she wants to help out... but that dosent automatically make it ok to let minors do that

AND THIS APPLIES TO EVERY MOD WHO IS A MINOR! just again, unfortunately pinky is the one who is brought up as an example, which sucks, but it does apply to all of em

Thank you! Exactly! You took the words out of my mouth. I’ve made it a point to tell Pinky it’s nothing personal at all against her. No doubt in my mind she’s an exceptional young lady, but no minors should be moderating adult content. And I’m honestly still blown away by the number of adults which includes a lot of staff sadly that think it’s perfectly ok for kids to mod this stuff.
 
General has a lot of mods in question. I agree that a 15-year-old should not be moderating a general chat room. People will argue that the room is 13 plus which it is. However, 99 percent of all active regulars are over 18 and the topics in that room are usually adult oriented. There are reasons that social media sites have age groups to keep them restricted for obvious reasons. Additionally, they made MrBlunt a moderator and he is just downright creepy. The only mods in that room that seem fair and balanced are Chelle and Leigh. The rest of them are not even worth my time.

This is the bit I'm not understanding lol. It seems alot of the points that say she's fine to mod it is that she's capable and mature enough... yes, we can all agree on that... dosent mean it's OK. Like!? 😂

Not sure it’s really a double standard. I think some people can believe that minors should be protected on the internet and also believe that there are some benefits to having minors mod some rooms.

Was not trying to single you out. In my trollish ways I just meant to say you are too nice of a person to mod that room.
I know you can handle yourself well.
I am not saying all users and staff are creeps.
My objection is the seemingly lax way they handle two things that concern me, at users harassing underage females and turning a blind eye on anti Jewish symbols and hate a race speech.
Not all the users and certainly mods are suspect there. Rapi is a breath of fresh air and I wish who was room admin again.
I think Pinky will do a good job there and can handle themselves well in any room.
Just please watch out for the creeps and the creeps may not be the ones that are the most obvious.

Agreed. Lots of opinions and views thank you all.

However it is an administrative decision to hire Pinky, it's an exception to what I normally do, and its not being reversed based on these posted opinions. As noted by @TheDifference and @Inkandtatts and others...there are only 2 types of opinions that ultimately matter, my mods and mine. She has a spot long as she wants it and can do the job.
