A red squirrel

I was in a graveyard and I came across this field of low stone crosses. At first I assumed it was for soldiers but then I saw that it was the names of men and women. Then I realised they all died in 1942. I assume they died in one of the many British raids during 1942. You would have to wonder how many of these people were enthusiastic nazi's and how many were just people caught up in a situation they couldn't do anything about.
