I must say I didn't expect Ferrari to come home in a 1-2 finish in Bahrain. I knew they were improving but I didn't think it would be that quickly. Nice to see the HAAS team finally win some points also. Tomorrow's race I really can't predict but I can't see George Russell winning. For some strange reason he and Middle Easten circuits don't seem to gel. I hope he breaks that spell though. Max? I'd love to see him win. But - Hassy - no disrespect to your liking Hamilton - but I don't, because I think he's an arrogant whingeing prat lol

Yeah None taken . i feel the same towards Max as he is just as arrogant, and i have personally seen Max irl. rarely smiling , doesnt do much for fans . but cant deny he is a good driver

I thought the first 80% of the race was pretty much run of the mill. It was only in the last ten or eleven laps that the race truly burst into life - Verstappen and Leclerc swapping the lead, then almost stopping as neither of them wanted the lead for about ten metres at turn 17, due to the fact that they both wanted to take advantage of DRS yet not offer the other the chance to turn the tables. This made it a good old-fashioned duel. Once again Ferrari showed their improvement and I think if it had been any other driver but Max racing against him, Charles Leclerc would surely have gone on to win his second successive race. Three cars retiring due to mechanical failure though, and all on the same lap - not sure if I have seen that before. Those retirements, added to the three earlier ones, left the field very short, and I think it's that what made the major part of the race seem so ordinary (although obviously I take nothing away from the drivers concerned - the race still had to be won).

Does anyone think it's a good idea for someone to post a poll for who they believe may win the drivers and/or constructors championship?

nothing wrong with that at all . but to me its too early to say whos winning it . leclerc and ferrari in the driving seat

Another good win for Verstappen yesterday. Uncharacteristic mistake by Charles Leclerc made it easier for Max than it ought to have been. Good to see George Russell continuing to score reasonably highly in a Mercedes car that does seem to have problems. McLaren continuing to improve. And nice to see Haas continuing their improvement, although I'm surprised that Schumacher hasn't scored yet. Would be nice to see him one day emulate his dad, the great Michael Schumacher. This season was tipped to be more competitive than recent seasons, especially among the mid-echelon constructors and it hasn't disappointed so far.

I still it will be a contest between the clerk and the stable master for the championship. That being LeClerc and Verstappen

never give up GIF by Lewis Hamilton

A repeat of last year 😉

Verstappen is starting to win it all, Hamilton has cracked the shits, while my man LeClerc is finding out where his reliability disappeared to. Russell is being consistent, Perez is Verstappens newest wingman, Sainz appears when he wants to be, and can someone tell Alonso to go rack off to IndyCar - Piastri needs his seat.

As for the rest of the field... *yawn*
