Another win for Verstappen in France, but I feel a bit sorry for Charles Leclerc. A genuine nice guy with the potential to win the championship even at this stage. But Ferrari need to get their reliability sorted. Two throttle problems for leclerc and a recent spate of engine troubles aren't doing that team any good. Even Leclerc's patience must be wearing thin. That said, I still think Verstappen probably has it sewn up now. I'd like to see Russell grab a win or two though.

Methinks Verstappen has got this championship in the bag. LeClerc is close but his time will come soon, Perez is still the ultimate wingman, Sainz is giving it all he can (off the track and into the kitty litter) whilst the Mercedes... well pfft they had their time in the sun.

I can see nothing stopping Max now. It will take an almighty series of mistakes from the pit crew or some unprecedented mistakes in team orders to rob him of the title now. Who is there to stop him? Mercedes are close but still not close enough (and besides it's far too late for them to finish above 3rd in the constructors championship now), and Ferrari are dropping clangers all over the place, which has drained Charles Leclerc's confidence. Indeed, I can see Sainz finishing ahead of Leclerc in the driver's championship at the moment. It's Verstappen for the title by a country mile now, methinks.

Yep, Max for the Championship.

Also sucked in Alpine, you didn't get Piastri after all for next year.

Unless I heard wrong, isn't Piastri replacing Ricciardo at McLaren next season?
Yes, he is to be contracted to McLaren in 2023. Ricciardo may still be in F1, although it depends on which team wants him.

From the commentary I was listening to on C4, I got the impression that HAAS weren't overjoyed with the performances of Mick Schumacher, but recently he seems to have been outscoring Kevin Magnusson. So I wouldn't like to call it whether or not a spare seat will become available next season, unless Schumacher and/or Magnussen are being touted for seats elsewhere - something I am not aware of. Isn't Vettel considering retirement? Maybe Ricciardo could find a seat at Aston Martin, if that's the case? How about Alpine? What are Alonso's plans for next season? Is Pierre Gasly remaining at Alpha Tauri? There could be a number of options available for filling F1 seats for 2023.

You are such a sporty spice. I can't imagine you yelling at the TV though. Maybe some muttering occurs at random moments? Please paint me a picture of you watching sports.
Sorry for butting in, but at least I usually comment on your wall lol. Anyway, I'm sure rapinoe is very quiet during F1 races - however, I can't help wondering how she reacts every time Max and Lewis get wheel to wheel on the circuit lol

I can get pretty into it, some yelling and talking to the telly. More so during football (real football and what you americans like to call football). I'm more of a casual F1 fan.

I am a fan of F1, I just hate paying via a pay wall to watch it
