|*| Prince Cronus turned to look back just as Adenosine passed out. He saw Yete run towards the man, tending to him immediately. For some reason Cronus was annoyed. He back-tracked walking past Keikoa who was watching the ordeal silently. He shoved Yete away from Adenosine, and slapped Adenosine solidly against the cheek, ?My lord?,? Yete said confused. Frustration coursed through Cronus after he realised Adenosine was fully out of it.

?We?ll have to carry him now,? Cronus muttered. He looked at Gerret and jerked his head towards Adenosine.
?Yete, do what you can, whilst Gerret carries him.?
Gerret changed his form, picking up Adenosine with almost no effort.
They walked most of the way, stopping for a short while to rest at a small lake, the smell of the air and water refreshing after the demonic encounter. It seemed like forever till they saw the first signs of the Border, the old road seemingly untouched by the Constantine onslaught.

?Where is the ship?? asked Cronus, walking in front.
?In the docking zone. The villagers were kind enough to allow us that favour,? said Altier. Cronus nodded, walking onwards. He was angry with himself. He still couldn?t understand why he?d just sat there. His men were being killed? and he just sat there, as though it wasn?t that big of a problem. Perhaps he was too dependant on his Guard, or perhaps he didn?t really care about them? He pushed back the thoughts as they entered the small village. As far as technology goes, the Durch village was lacking, they had only the basics. Riddled with poorly looking individuals and old shabby looking houses, this village seemed to be frozen in the past. A large crowd had gathered around the luxury airship.

Not many people outside of Azaria had seen an airship such as this. The villagers parted as the party walked towards the ship. It?s bulk door extending down as they neared it. The airship was silver and emblazoned with a fiery red phoenix on either side, the crest of the Beaumont?s. Prince Cronus walked up the ramp, and inside the ship, the richly decorated interior and shiny gadgets bringing a sense of home to him.
?Altier, fire it up! We make haste for Azaria?.? |*|

Adenosine stared across the field, over the countless bodies the littered the field. After a few minutes of gazing he finally rested his eyes on the Daemon across the field who was surrounded by mounds of dead bodies. More soldiers continued to charge the beast hoping to take it down and win the honor. Aden knew it was a fruitless effort for the unskilled so he turned to the young soldier that stood next to him and saw the hope within the young eyes.

"You want a crack at him don't you Kendric?" He asked.

"Yes, Adenosine, the beast would go down under my blade." Kendric replied, his voice carrying no emotion at all.

?Whatever happened to calling me Master?? Adenosine nonchalantly remarked, he remembered the time when he would have been angered by the young man?s insolence now he just smiled to himself.

"You have been my master for as long as I can remember, but even you said that I was no longer your student." Kendric unsheathed the giant sword from his back and held it up easily with one hand.

"I don?t seem to recall that, anyways you've grown stronger since we last saw each other," Aden could tell Kendric was beaming under his full plate helm, "May even be a match for me."

"You know I could never defeat you, Aden. You're over 200 hundred years old and have fought more people and defeated so many demons that you are known by the Lord of the Daemon kind and feared by him." Kendric sounded like he was still a kid who admired the age old knight.

"Your forgetting we share the same skills, Kendric. Now enough with this idle chit chat, go kill your first Daemon." Adenosine looked towards the Daemon that was still destroying the lines of soldiers. He felt Kendric rush past him and charge towards the Daemon preparing to cut it down. Aden thought that his former apprentice would be able to take the beast down without a problem, only what he saw made him freeze up inside. The monster sensed the attack early and easily dodged the young warrior's blade and quickly brought its axe crashing down upon his poorly protected back. Aden thought he could hear the sickening crunch of broken bones. He watched Kendric collapse from his horses back and hit the ground, after the initial shock passed over him, he quickly spurred his horse and raced towards the evil being. Tears were flowing freely down his face due to his feelings for the young warrior, but like all things they were easily dispersed by hate and anger.

"I WILL DESTROY YOU!" He screamed through his heavy helm. The Daemon looked up from the body of the young soldier to see the giant horse that was carrying Adenosine. It brought up its axe to defend itself but wasn?t fast enough to stop the blade from screaming down upon the grisly head that is the spawn of all that is evil.

~Keikoa sat wide eyed, looking around at everything in the ship. She laced her fingers in her lap to refrain from touching anything. Nothing in the Constatine castle compared to this. It seemed like everything in the castle was tarnished because of the evil people who possessed. Shrugging at the thought, she looked over at Adenosine, and wondered if he would be ok.

Keikoa pursed her lips together looking around, then noticed a sick feeling in the pit of her stomach. Keikoa turned away from the others hiding her face. "Don't tell me I get sick, now they'll really think i'm some helpless servant." Keikoa thought. She twiddled her thumbs to keep her mind off her flying and the sick feeling all together. She even counted to ten a few times before taking three big breaths.

This would be no problem, she tried to convince herself.

|*| Cronus sat down in a rounded couch near the window. He stared out, looking down at the many faces still gawking up at the ship. The ship shuddered slightly and was in the air in an instant, even though it felt as though they hadn?t moved.
Cronus looked across the spacious room to Keikoa who seemed to be overwhelmed with the experience. He pressed a button on the side of the chair, which silently called for the servants. A thin looking man dressed in an expensive black suit appeared out of a door.
?Ahh, Welcome back my lord,? the man said to Cronus, then bowing his head to each of the other passengers.
?Holmes, see if the lady would like anything,? Cronus told the man. Holmes nodded, and walked towards Keikoa. He stopped, clasping his hands behind his back and smiled at her, ?Would the lady like anything to drink or eat?? he asked her.

Roderick and Gerret sat down opposite Cronus on the chair. ?How do you think my father would handle this?? Cronus asked them, still staring out the window.
?He is old now? but still strong enough. He no doubt trusts your wisdom, but this? this is different. You might be banished,? Gerret said.
?If it comes to that my lord, I shall accompany thee,? Roderick added.
?No-no, it will not? I assure you. Go check on Yete, see how Adenosine is coping. He saved us back there, we are indebted to him,? Cronus said with a grimace.
The men nodded, and left. Cronus sat for a minute thinking about what to say, then he got up and walked across the room, hardly even feeling the flying motion of the ship. Just the soft vibrations it made. He sat down beside Keikoa, ?You okay?? he asked her. ?Your ability is rather intense. You seem to have it under control. That?s rather rare for a mere servant girl...,? he said, eyeing her suspiciously. ?Are you really a servant?? he asked her.

Then he shook his head, ?No, perhaps you should be silent for now. Maybe I shouldn?t know,? he got up to leave, but then stopped and looked at her, ?If it comes to it? will you be able to go back to Constantine if I ask you to?? he asked. Suddenly the ship shook strangely, and Altier appeared at the door, ?Prince Cronus!?he shouted running inside, ?The captain say?s we have two fleets trailing us. They are approaching at a rapid speed. Constantine no doubt, we may not be able to outrun them,? he said.
?How far till Azaria?? Cronus asked.
?Still a while, my lord,? the man replied.
?Prepare the Silver Phoenix for attack-? the ship shook again, but more violently this time, and a loud explosion rang out. ?They?re on us!? Altier shouted, disappearing back through the door as he ran through it. |*|

"No thank you... uh... I'm fine." Keikoa said and couldn't help but to smile.

It was odd to have the tables switched around on you. Then she felt a sympathy for the man, how was he really treated. She loosened her grip, she had on the chair and placed her hands in her lap. The plane seemed like it hadn't moved an inch, but it was still nice to know that they were in the air. Keikoa refrained from looking out the window, she was afraid she might get that sick feeling again.

Prince Cronus sat near her, and she turned never looking down as he asked her. "I'm fine thank you..." Keikoa laughed and shook her head slightly, "I've had my 'ability' since I was a little girl, when I was with my mother, and I was raised as a servant from ten years on. There is nothing really special about me."

Keikoa watched as he turned back to her. ?If it comes to it? will you be able to go back to Constantine if I ask you to?? Keikoa was silent for a few seconds only looking at him. This man saved her so of course she owed him anything he asked for if reasonable. If going to the Constantine castle was reasonable, and it seemed he had only good intention to protect those around him then she would grant him this.

"I told you I am in debt to you, and if it pleases the Prince for me to go back, then I will do as you ask." Keikoa said breaking her gaze, and shifting in her seat.

As the ship shook, Keikoa automatically grasp the chair again her body growing tense. The sick feeling sprang up so quickly, she had even forgot what it was like to feel at ease. Altier, had told the prince that they were being attacked. The ship would have to defend themselves making it a more bumpy ride. Keikoa grasp both arms of the chair, and murmured a quick quiet prayer.

"This is going to be fun isn't it." Keikoa whispered to herself.

|*| Cronus walked through the door following Altier, and walked through the brightly lit hallway. The floor panels were lit from underneath, casting a blue shimmer against his legs. He entered the deck, several of the servants bowing as he passed.
?Captain, what is the situation?? he asked. ?Can we take them??
?I would think so-? the man was interrupted by the ship?s computer, ?Emergency Lock activated. Please remain calm,? it said in an emotionless woman voice.
The doors and windows sealed shut as the ship initiated the emergency mode. Cronus walked over to a map that flashed in vertically midair. ?It appears they?re on either side of us,? the captain said. Two orange lines shot out from either of the enemy ships, and suddenly The Silver Phoenix shook violently again.

?Are we ready to fire?? the captain called. Somebody from below shouted ?Not yet!? and the captain sighed through gritted teeth. ?Captain, tend to the weapon. I shall steer,? Cronus said, taking to the steering before the captain could get a word in. He pushed the throttle up, causing the ship to jerk and then burst forwards, causing the ship to shake even more violently than it had previously.
?Hold it steady, sire!? somebody shouted. He saw one of the Constantine ships flanking to the side and he ducked, and rolled the ship under it, causing more revolt amongst his servants. ?My prince, perhaps I should fly?? a pilot asked. Cronus shook his head, and pushed down on the steering, causing the ship to suddenly descend at a dramatic rate.

?Weapon systems are active!? Somebody shouted. ?Airship descending rapidly, chances of survival at 40%,? the computer said again. Cronus yanked the steering to the left, spinning the airship a full 180 degrees, so that it now was vertical and facing upwards. He smashed in the boost, and exploded past the Constantine fleet that struggled to turn, and cascaded downwards. ?Weapon systems? fire!? the captain shouted. Two large red projectiles exploded out of the rear of the ship, coming in contact with each of the Constantine ships as they turned. With a flurry of sparks and metal, the two ships exploded into a whirlwind of flames, and the shrapnel falling downwards like rain.
Cronus grinned, ?And there you go,? he said.

?Status: Normal. Returning airship to previous settings,? the computer said. The doors and windows opened up again, and Cronus returned to the lounge area. The couches and tables had been overturned, and everything was in chaos, ?Sorry about that? turbulence,? Cronus said with a slight smile.
Azaria came into view, the marvel of a castle standing out, making the other buildings seem minute and insignificant in comparison. They docked into the landing zone. Cronus turned to the others, ?Gerret, you will accompany me, and the rest of you,? he said looking at his Guard. ?You may do as you please, until I call for you. Yete, place the Von Lichtenstein in a room in my quarters. Keikoa, come with me, we?ll be going to my father.? |*|

Adenosine felt the fever break and slowly opened his eyes, expecting the worse. Though what he saw was a normal looking airship infirmary. He pushed himself off the sick bed, and started to look around for his cloak. He looked up from where he was looking and saw his reflection in the mirror. His once brown hair had turned jet black, and his blue eyes turned to a near metal gray color, his skin was also a bit more pale looking. "What did that wound do to me?" He wondered aloud, looking as his once handsome features seemed to change.

"It seems that some of the daemon's spirit was passed along to you," Aden spun around to see a figure clad in shining armor, "I am the Archangel Posentios, I have come to tell you that the Woodsman survived your blow. Whats worse is the next time your injured by that blade, it will be fatal." Adenosine was turning this over in his head when he heard the door to the room open. When he looked up the armorclad figure was gone and Yete stood in its place.

"You seem to be doing well, Adenosine." Yete seemed to look apprehensive at Adenosine's look, "Though what happened to you hair and eyes?"

"The Daemon released some of its spirit into me, a simple exorcist will get rid of it." replied Aden, *Screw the cloak and hood its about time I showed my face again to the world* and with that thought he strode from the room leaving a preplexed Yete behind. Aden walked down a corridor when he felt the ship shudder and go straight up, it took all his strength to keep from tumbling back. He could hear the computer saying stuff but couldn't make it out, this turbulence lasted for a few more minutes when the ship finally became stable again. Aden continued along the path until he came upon the main sitting room, where he saw the young servant girl. He smiled at her and tried to start a conversation with her, though she gave a mixed look of despise and curiosity, no doubt due to his sudden sickness.

"Keikoa right? Sorry for my rudeness earlier, but I rarely trust new people and after seeing what you did to that daemon, I could well say you earned my respect." Aden felt as though his whole world was flipped upside down after that little sickness, like he could show his whole face to the world and not care. *I would have never been able to do this a few days ago, the Daemon's spirit has changed my entire outlook on life, thats weird.*

As furniture was overturned, Keikoa clutched to the arm of the chair, and focusing on using her power to not let it be flipped over like the rest. Keikoa had turned pale now hoping that this would be over. Diziness engulped her, causing her to close her eyes, only to open them once more to concentrate on the object.

After only a few moments that seemed like hours to her the movement stopped and everything seemed still again. Adenosine appeared out of no where making Keikoa jumped slightly. She clutched her chest then shook her head laughing silently at herself.

Keikoa's face grew solemn as she saw Adenosine face, something had change. She got a weird vibe from him, and wanted to retreat, but instead she looked him in the eyes. "Yes my name is Keikoa, that was a foolish thing you did back there, you could have killed me." Keikoa stood facing him "But I'm glad you did, I proved something to myself. Your apology is accepted." Keikoa extened her hand then turned to see Prince Cronus.

"You may do as you please, until I call for you. Yete, place the Von Lichtenstein in a room in my quarters. Keikoa, come with me, we?ll be going to my father.?

"Your father..." Keikoa voice trailed off, and she merely smiled at Adenosine, and followed Prince Cronus.

From one king to another, from one palace to another. The day was exhausting, but the suprises were keeping her wide awake. How many would this day have in store. What was the king of this castle really like? Was he mean and cruel like her master once was? Keikoa shrugged at the thought, and took her clip out of her hair and let it fall down over her shoulders. She inspected the clip to give her something to do, then put it in her shoulder bag, she was carrying. Anticipation built up, she was going to see the king.

|*| "Adenosine, you may go as you please. You know were the castle is. If you wish to help us, return to castle by nightfall, or you may go there now. Yete will accompany you," Cronus said to the Knight, before exiting the ship.
Prince Cronus left the Docking Area, which was oddly busy. He walked past the many staring faces, ignoring their whispers and remarks of his appearance.
“Gerret, call for a taxi,” Cronus commanded the Knight, who nodded and walked off ahead of the two. They stepped into the taxi, which took them to Palace entrance. A grand fountain made of crystal welcomed them, a new addition to the grounds. It had been awhile since he had been home. “Whatever I say, just go with it, and if you want you can have a look around afterwards. I'll have a hand-maiden show you around, so you don'get lost,” Cronus said to Keikoa as they walked up the stone steps of the palace.

The front doors opened automatically as they approached, buzzing for a second and then disappearing into the ceiling. They walked into the main hall, an overly large chandelier hung above them. A servant approached them, a warm smile on her face. She was young, and her dark hair, was tied neatly in a bun.
“Prince Cronus! A while it has been, my lord,” the woman said happily.
“Yes, Iris… I’ve been rather busy,” Cronus said, kissing her softly on the cheek. “I need to speak with my father, where is the King?” he asked Iris.
She pursed her lips at him, “You’ve been rather naughty I hear. His majesty is not very happy with you I’m afraid. Perhaps you shouldn’t-”
“Iris…,” he muttered, becoming annoyed with the woman.
“Very well, prince, in his chambers as usual. Who’s this?” the servant asked, looking at Keikoa.

“None of your business,” Cronus said, gently taking Keikoa by the arm, and with a smile walked past the woman.
They walked quickly up the stairs and down the carpeted and richly decorated hallways. Gerret pushed open the two large doors, each of which had the crest of the Beaumont’s.
“Sire,” Gerret muttered as he entered the King’s bed chamber. The King was old, his once strong, handsome face, now faded and old with lines. His hair was white and balding. He looked as if her were in pain.
“Gerret, what a surprise, you look well,” the king said. He was sitting in a throne in front of his bed. Several papers lay scattered on the small table beside him. “And you, Sire,” Gerret replied.

The King laughed, “If only I could believe that,” the smile faded when the King’s eyes fell upon his son. “Cronus, you fool!” the King shouted, rising to his feet quickly.
“What? Sit down father!” Cronus said loudly. The King grunted, but sat down nonetheless. Cronus looked over to the soldiers standing by the window, “Leave us please,” Cronus said to them. They looked to the King, who nodded and then walked past Cronus and Keikoa, bowing their heads as they did. Gerret walked over to the window and stared out blankly. “Who is that with you?” asked the King, his voice gruff.

“This is Lady Keikoa, she is… a friend of mine,” he said, binding his words together as he spoke.
Lady Keikoa…? Hmm… why are you two dressed like that?” the King asked.
“I just got back, ran in to some un-foreseen trouble. The Durch King is dead,” Cronus replied. “I didn’t do it,” he added.
“You are a foolish boy, Cronus! You kill me faster with your antics. Might as well strike me with your own sword now,” the King said, pointing a finger at Cronus.

Cronus grimaced, “I did not know it would come to this. You are being far too rash father. You see past the truth. They would have broken the treaty as soon as they had taken Durch.”
“And you are still a fool!” the King spat. “You put the lives of all our people on the line, for your stupid love escapades! You know not what love is!” The king shouted, his voice rising in anger.
Cronus stood silent, his eyes moving to the floor. “You will trust my judgement…,” he muttered softly. “If you have a problem with that father, then stop me.” |*|

From the moment Keikoa arrived inside of this magnificent palace, she was awestruck. So many differences she could point out, and yet she missed her extended family and wished that one day they will come to see this place. She shrugged at the denial she had put her hopes in. Keikoa refrained from dropping her jaw when she seen the beautiful fountain. As Prince Cronus lead her, she turned her head slightly to get a longer look. Everything was coming by fast, and she wanted to see it all. Keikoa knew that this had to be too good to be true, but she would seize the moment.

From Constatine Castle to this wonderful place Keikoa knew it had a different Aura about it. Keikoa knew that their servants and guards were treated with the upmost respect. A twinge of guilt settle in her heart at the thought that the others would have to live with the fury she had broughten up, along with the Prince, in the king. They would surfer for days to come, but she prayed it would be too brutal.

The servant greeted Cronus as if she had raised it. Keikoa laced her fingers in front of her, and smiled a lady. Beauty was evident inside and out, and her spirit was sweet. Allowing herself to be lead away Keikoa glanced around quickly to take in everything she could.

The closer they got to the King's chambers, the more elegant the scene became. There was no doubt that Keikoa would enjoy venturing off for a couple of hours to explore this kingdom of riches. The guards all greeted Prince Cronus as if he was a golden child. Keikoa merely smiled, and followed the prince. If only her mother could see her now, tears would surely well up inher eyes. Keikoa was lost in thought for a moment, and just walked along with the Prince as she stared thinking, noticing nothing else.

"My child you are a born Princess...To me you are my princess and no one else." Oliva Gerard has spoken softly to her child who was tucked softly on only a mattress with a doll in her harms.

"Then why come don't I ride on the pretty ponies like the other princess' mommy." Keikoa had spoken in a small voice, merely whispering her eyes filling with tears.

"Oh, my darling you have to stop. Horses don't make princess', whats inside does. You are the most prettiest person I've ever seen and you wanna know what?" Oliva asked smiling.

Keikoa nodded, and Oliva started to tickle Keikoa until she was sure, she wasn't going to cry. "I would have asked for anybody else to share my blood with, now go on to sleep" Olive coughed long and hard, then got up off the mattress to her feet. Oliva knelt down pressing her cheek to her daughters, and hugging her tightly. "Don't you worry, your fairy tale will come some day. Goodnight my sweet"

Keikoa came out of the daze as they entered the King's chambers. The man was handsome, but the years and tore at him. Keeping her eyes downcasted to the floor, she let Prince Cronus and the king talk out. It was always a shame to see family disagree, but it was inevitable. Keikoa felt tension throughout the room. The old rule she was forced to learn stuck with her in this very seen. 'Only speak when spoken to.'

Aden just smiled at Cronus at what he suggested, and turned to Yete when Cronus and Keikoa left.

"Feel like running to Durch Castle?" He asked the young soldier.

"You serious, you know how far that is, the exhaustion will kill you."

"You maybe, but I feel like a whole new person." And with that Aden ran from the ship and continued to run through the winding city streets until he came upon the giant gates of Beaumont castle. He turned to see Yete about to die from the long run from the airship dock.

"You...are...evil." It took him a few minutes to get this all out since he was trying to catch his breath at the same time. Aden just smiled and took to running through the giant gates, *This is crazy, I haven't felt like this in centuries* It seemed like time stood still has he ran down the road leading to Durch Castle. He made it to the boundary between the two kingdoms in record time, so he thought to just take it easy to the capital. This took a little bit longer than expected though Aden didn't care he was going to see the princess again. He knew that over the next hill he would see the capital standing out from the forests. The excitement got to Adenosine and he ran up to the hill to see his hometown once again. His eyes immediatly widen as he saw the city burn, he could smell burning flesh and the sound of cannons exploding in the distance.

"Princess!" He shouted out, not able to stop himself. He ran down the hill at full speed charging through the gates, that were busted wide open from the outside, and into the frat that awaited him. Citizens were running in every direction trying to escape the carnage, most were being slaughtered where they stood. Aden didn't bother with them and charged to the castle. The second wall gates surrounding the castle were still intact though they were severly damaged. He knew they wouldn't last another barrage of rams and bodies. The ground around the massive structures was littered with bodies of soldiers bearing the Constantine crest. The smell of blood soaked the air, and Adenosine seemed to enjoy its presence. *What is wrong with me?* He shook his head trying to get the weird emotions from his head and body. He took a few steps and stumbled to the ground, the emotions were overpowering him. Aden felt a pain start in his back, the pain appeared in his forehead too. He put his hands to his face and felt horns there, "What the..what is going on?" He felt something heavy protrude from his back. Aden turned his head and saw wings sticking out of the ripped back of his shirt. He had become his most hated enemy, he had become a Daemon.

"There's a Daemon right there, get it." Aden looked up to see ten Lichtenstein troops staring at him. They all raised their weapons and charged at Adenosine, who reached for his Beastkin but only felt a giant blade in its place. He held the blade in front of him studying the design. It had a long, thick black blade, an oversized hilt, and a long handle that had several chains hanging loosely from the bottom. He wasn't finished studying it when he felt an arrow pierce him in the arm. Aden looked at the soldiers to see one of them holding a long bow with another arrow ****ed, preparing to fire. Aden quickly jumped up and started to flap his wings trying to get airborne, it wasn't working like he hoped. After a few tries he made it up and flew over the troops trying to make it to the castle.

|*| Prince Cronus turned on his heel, ignoring his father?s wild stares. ?We?ll be leaving soon? to end this. You may want to ready your soldiers, father. War is coming to Azaria,? he said, taking Keikoa by the hand and walking to the door.
?We?ll go back to my quarters, rest a while, and you may change into something more appropriate, and then we take our leave,? Cronus said softly to Keikoa. ?I?m sorry to have pulled you into all of this-?
?Wait,? the king muttered, ?What are you planning to do?? he asked.

?We?re going to back to Constantine. I?m going to take a few of the Royal Guard. We will storm the castle? and kill the Constantine King,? Cronus said, his face still turned away.
?That will do nothing, Cronus. Their prince is as war-driven as their King. You will only aggravate them-?
?You make it seem as though they are some beast, which no man can kill. Azaria may have become use to the calm of no war, but we are worse than them. I remember the fighting father? so if aggravating them is what I am intending to do, then so be it, but I will cut their heads down, and leave their soldiers wandering like blind men,? Cronus said, his voice emanating its usual calmness.

The king sighed, ?You are just like your brother. I see I cannot stop you. Go then, and on your return aid your army,? the King said.
Cronus turned to face his father and nodded, ?May the Gods be with you father.?
?And you, Cronus,? the King muttered. ?My lady?? the king said. ?Where are you from?? he asked looking at Keikoa.
?Father, we don? have time for you curiosity,? Cronus said quickly.
?Okay-okay, but will the lady be staying behind in Azaria? Or will she accompany my son to his death trip? If you are wise my lady? I would remain where it is safe. I would be heart broken if I were to hear that my son had your pretty face captured or killed.? |*|

To see that things were somewhat mended between Cronus' and his father, put her heart more at ease. Prince Cronus was a bit head strong, but Keikoa had the feeling that he could back up he said he would do. Keikoa followed behind the Prince, then turned as he did.

The king finally spoke to Keikoa, and made her sort of blush. Bowing her head as if in respect. Keikoa smiled showing a rare beauty she ever cared to reveal, "To answer you quickly, I am from the Constatine castle." Keikoa glanced at Prince Cronus, then to the king, "I will do whatever the prince wants to do, he seems to have a good head on his shoulder so I trust his decision...And please My Lord please call me Keikoa, I am no worthy enough to carry such a title such as 'my lady' With that Keikoa smiled as if meaning no disrespect or even self pity, she looked up at Prince Cronus, "Shall we go then?"

Keikoa walked past the Prince to exit the king's chambers. She walked slowly not sure where exactly she was going. "I'm afraid I don't have any other clothing, so i suppose I'm going to have to stay this way for the time being." Keikoa shrugged, and tilted her head at the beautiful paintings that we cleverly displayed along the walls.

|*| ?My lord, I?m going to remain her for a while. I shall see you when we leave?? Roderick asked as Cronus and Keikoa left. Cronus nodded, and then followed Keikoa.
He walked slowly beside her, allowing her to stare at the paintings, whilst he thought.
They got into one of the royal cars when they exited the large palace, which drove them to Cronus? quarters. They drove through the large bustling streets and into the city. It was filled with people, shopping, going to work, just following their daily routines, unaware of the approaching chaos.

He felt guilty knowing that his father had been right. He had put his people at risk, but it would have happened anyway. They stopped at a five story building, and got out of the taxi. ?It?s okay if you didn?t bring anything with you. I?ll get a hand maiden to tend to your needs. I really can?t have you staying like that, when we can do something about it. It would be foolish,? Cronus said to Keikoa, as they entered the building. The servants inside stared bemused at the two of them. They were indeed filthy and oddly dressed of course.
?Is this the princess?? asked a man dressed in a smart suit. Cronus shook his head slightly, and walked past the man who folded his hands in front of him and nodded. The lobby was rather plain, a desk at the front and a few chairs and tables near a bar. It looked somewhat like a hotel lobby.

They entered the elevator, which took them to the upper levels. The doors opened at the fifth and they stepped out, greeted by several servants who went about their work. They walked into a hallway, walking past doors on either side of them and then into an open space with a large table, decorated richly, and then down another hallway. He stopped at door, and opened it, gesturing Keikoa inside.
?I?ll send a maiden to get a closet for you. In the meanwhile get comfortable. You can leave your things on the table,? Cronus said to her. He left walking back down the hall to tell one of the women to get closet with clothes for Keikoa, and then returned to woman?s room a while later accompanied by two maidens, and man pushing a wardrobe on wheels.

Cronus knocked and then entered, ?Well here you go. They bought a whole bunch of stuff so see what you like. We?ll be leaving tomorrow, rest well. I?ll see you in the morning,? he said, turned on his heel and left. He walked to his room feeling slightly odd. Whenever he returned home it had always been a warm feeling, but now with all this going on, he felt sad. This may be the last time he saw it. He stripped himself out of the Constantine clothes, and fell on the bed. |*|

Keikoa was truly bewildered, no words could expressed how she felt. The room was nice, with a mixture of blueso, reds, pinks, and other light colors that worked together to bring a homey feeling the room. Keikoa didn't even have five minutes to explore the room before a man, a tall lean woman, and a short woman with freckles along with the Prince. Prince Cronus and the man left the room leaving her with the two women. Keikoa smiled unsure what to say, before the tall lean woman began rambling.

"Hi my name is Fione, and this here is Becca. My, my aren't you beautiful, well we are at your service. Maybe even after Becca can show you around the Castle. Word around the Castle is that you are a Constatine...servant to be exact how did you..." Fione spoke as if she didn't even breathe.

"Oh Fione hush, she doesn't want to hear anything negative. I'm very sure her day was rough. Now Lady..." Becca said pausing.

"Keikoa..it's just Keikoa. And its quite alright Ms...Fione. I am a servant, and I am from the Constantine Castle." Keikoa said, "Its very nice to meet you both."

Fione waved her hand dismissively, as Becca exited into the bathroom. The sound of water could be heard loudly from the bathroom. Fione took Keikoa's bag, and set it on the overly large comfortable looking bed. Taking Keikoa's hand she sat her down on the bed, and began working at the dingy shoes. Keikoa pulled away, then smile not trying to offend.

"Thats quite alright Fione, I can do it." Keikoa said bending down to remove her shoes.

"Very well Lady Keikoa. Now, we need to get you all cleaned up. You must have had some day. A good bath would do you well." Fione turned toward the clothing rack, and placed her hands on her chin. "Now with that beautiful red hair of yours, and your eyes, we need the perfect outfit."

"I'm sorry but just something simple I really don't need..." Keikoa began and Fione waved her hand once again, Keikoa sat foward moving her neck from side to side.

"Please My Lady there is nothing simple on this rack, I will pick out your clothing, now go on in there and bath up." Fione said.

Keikoa hesistated, then rose and entered the bathroom. Everything was clean, and the smell of lavander soaps filled her nostrils. Becca sat on the side of a large tub turning off a faucet of warm water. The tub was filled with bubbles, and Keikoa could only smiled. She was starting to learn not to protest to things it was obvious she had no control over. Shutting the door behind her, Becca stayed to tend to Keikoa.

Fione shuffled through the assortments of dresses of all colors for every size. Shaking her head and mumbling something that couldn't be understood to herself. Running her fingers through the materials, she pulled out a nice blue dress. The blue dress would no doubt fit Lady Keikoa, and would suit her just fine. Yellow flowers lined the him of the dress, and was simple enough to move in but would be exquisite.

Keikoa's laughter erupted from behind the bathroom doors, Fione shook her head and smiled. Bending down, she looked at the bottom of the rack for suitable shoes. A pair white shoes, that were closed toed and laced around the ankles stuck out immediately. Fione set the dress on the bed and the shoes beside it.

Fione stuck her head out of the window, and stopped one of the servants in the hallway and ordered something to eat for the lady. After a few moments, the same servant came back with a tray full of sandwiches and orange juice. Fione sat on the bed and waited a few more moments.

Keikoa finally emerged from the bathroom giggling her hair looking a more shiny red than before, and her skin glowing. Becca shook her head smiling behind Keikoa giving Fione a look. Fione rose, and handed Keikoa the dress to put on.

"Oh this is beautiful..." Keikoa fingered the material for a moment then looked up at both of the women, "Thank you very much for all of this."

"You are welcome, it was a pleasure to serve someone who is truly appreciative My Lady. Now if you hurry you can explore part of the castle." Becca said.

Slipping off the robe she had on, Keikoa slipped into the dress. The dress fell just below her knees, and she twirled showing both Fione, and Becca who clapped loudly. Fione handed Keikoa the white shoes. Keikoa sat on a chair and slipped on the shoesFione had given her. Keikoa's hair lay over her shoulders, and the dressed flowed and fit perfectly. Keikoa felt beautiful finally for once in a long time. Becca walked and pinned some of Keikoa's hair up in a beautiful half up, half down style. Clasping her hands together Becca was almost in tears.

"Come on My Lady we can at least see the fountains, and some of the statues within range so we won't venture off too far." Becca said taking Keikoa's hand and leading her out of hte room.

"Hurry up you two." Fione smiled, "Lady Keikoa I will pack your bag for your leave."

"Thank you again Ms. Fione." Keikoa said while being tugged out of the room.

The castle was quiet, this unnerved Adenosine, since the castle was the last line of defense for the royal family. Phalanxes of soldiers were supposed to be guarding this particular hallway because it led to the underground shelter. When he got to the metal doors at the end, Adenosine pulled the secret lever to open the doors and quickly walked down the stairs. He had only recently changed back to human, he figured the smell of blood, battle and anger seemed to trigger the reaction. It seemed to take its toll though, his healing seems to have slowed so much that it seems almost gone but his reflexes and speed also increased.

"Where is everyone?" He said aloud to the emptiness of the chamber that greeted him at the end of the stairs.

"Aden is that you?" The familiar voice called from the farthest reaches of the chamber, Adenosine quickly looked to that area and saw the princess step from the darkness. As she strode across the open area, Aden could tell something was wrong.

"Fire!" the twang of a bowstring resonated off the walls as a dark blur sped towards the princess. Aden was already covering half the distance since he heard the bow being pulled back. The increased speed seemed to help Aden get to his target, He grabbed the princess and pulled her down to the floor. "So it seems the man that betrayed his countrymen once will do it again."

"I will always betray my country for what they did to me and my family," Adenosine responded to the husky voice of the dark, "It seems you want more from me Alexster."

A tall dark figure was illuminated by the glow of hundreds of torches. The figure had long red hair, pulled back out of his face. He wore the traditional black robe of a Daemon Master, he was also surrounded by dozens of armed guards and a ring of human shields, which was made of mostly servants and one frightened Queen. Aden only looked at the figure in dark, he could barely make out the faint mark of a scar along the base of the man's neck. "Seems you still have that wound, Alex."

"Well I do not have the same powers as you do, my dear Canes," Adenosine looked at the man with hatred at the name that was said, "Ahh it seems you have given up that name. Exactly what are you going by now, Adenosine? The name of your late brother who tried unsuccessfully to kill me."

Adenosine could feel his anger towards the man getting stronger, *No I cant let the Daemon take over* he clutched his head trying to think of other things to cool his anger, though he could only remember the bad things that this man had caused.

The wings shot through the gaping holes the created last time, "Damn You Alex, I will destroy you." Adenosine yelled while undergoing the transformation, Alexster backed up to get away from the enraged man. The room filled with panicked cries and and screams as the people in the room tried to get away from Adenosine. Though they were not his concern, The man in the black robes in front of him was.

The palace was truly beautiful, just as the people inside of it. The servants to carry a smile, they didn't show the same anguish that the servants at the Constatine Castle had shown so many days. Becca rambled on and on about the history, and though Keikoa could here her she was really taking in anything at all from amazement. There were just outside of the building that Prince Cronus had taken her to, just walking around the sidewalk.

"We have alot here, sorry I can't show you that waterfall fountain that you were talking about, its a bit too far." Becca said clasping her hands in front of her, and walking the same slow pace as Keikoa.

"Oh this is just great, don't worry about the foutain at least I got a glimpse at it." Keikoa said pushing her red hair over her shoulder.

As they walked people stared at her, so Keikoa mostly kept her eyes downcasted. Becca laughed and Keikoa looked up quickly.

"Why do you do that?" Becca said.

"Do what?" Keikoa asked stopping.

Becca stepped from Keikoa's side, to the front of her, "Act like you are just a lesser of everybody around you."

"Well aren't I?" Keikoa asked her eyes growing bigger.

"Oh heavens no..." Becca clicked her tongue a few times considering her words, "May I say something Lady Keikoa."

"Do as you wish." Keikoa said folding her arms waiting.

"Lady Keikoa you are a beautiful women really and truly, but it seems like you are a fool... I am a servant and I do not considered myself a lesser of anybody or anything. Neither are you in my opinion. You seem smart and strong despite what you try to show." Becca said stepping back to the side of Keikoa, "Maybe its time you start to show it."

Keikoa continued to walk thinking about what Becca said. Here was a women who just told her flaw in one sweet minute and oddly enough she was right. Keikoa considered her a lesser to everyone even those who are servants . Now was the time to stand up for herself, because it was evident nobody was going to treat her like a twit who can't do anything for herself.

"Thank you Becca, may god bless you for that little bit of wisdom." Keikoa said taking a side glance at Becca and smiling.

"You are very welcome Lady Keikoa."

"So what is that beautiful flower patch over there for?" Keikoa asked pointing to the various flowers with different colors in one little patch that indeed stood out.

|*| His sleep had been uneasy, and he awoke much earlier than he?d wanted to initially. He sat up staring at the phone for a while, and then jumped to his feet, walking over to the window. He noticed a group of women walking around in the back gardens. Seemed to be the servants and? Keikoa. He was slightly taken back by her change. He smiled slightly, and then turned away from the window. He stood beside the phone staring at it, and then lifted the receiver and put it to his ear. He pressed in several numbers, and waited. It rang continuously but there was no response from the Durch Castle. He breathed heavily, and then placed the receiver back down.

There was a knock at the door, and a tall stocky man entered. A pair of thin spectacles sat atop the bridge of his nose, and his hair was grey and balding. He smiled at the Prince, ?You armor is here my lord,? the man said, stepping out of the door way. Another man came in carrying a large leather chest in his muscular arms. He placed it on the bead, nodded to Cronus, and then left the room.
?Would his majesty require assistance??

Cronus shook his head smiling some, but saying nothing. The man nodded. Cronus walked over to the chest, and opened it. The azure silver armor had been recently polished. The golden phoenix crest stood out proudly on the chest, and the red robe was packed neatly in a bundle in the corner. He closed it, walking over to his closet.
?I?ll place it on the ship, Sir,? said the tall man, walking over to the chest.
?Very well, let my guest, the woman with Becca and Fione, know that we are to leave soon,? Prince Cronus said, taking out clothes for himself. The man nodded, bowed and left. He put an expensive dark suit on, and then a robe over that. He picked his sword up, and holstered it to his side.

There was another knock on the door, and he moved to open it, but the person on the other side beat him too it. A woman stood in the doorway, wearing a hooded robe that was open revealing a red dress. Her face was hidden in her hood, but her green eyes stood out, even in the darkness. ?Cronus?,? she said softly entering his room.
?What do you want?? Prince Cronus replied, his tone sharp.
?I? just wanted to say goodbye before you left. I didn?t get a chance last time,? she said, moving closer towards him. She dropped her hood revealing her long dark hair, and her pale skin that was illuminated by the light in the room. She was beautiful no doubt.
?Helena, I don?t-?

The woman threw her arms around Cronus, and held him tightly. She looked up at him, her green eyes teary, ?Please, don?t go, Cronus,? she whimpered. There was a knock at the door again, but she ignored him holding him tighter, and then embraced him with a kiss. He struggled, but gave in, allowing her to overpower him. |*|

"Well that one I do not know, but I do know that some of the flowers are placed in memory of the very beautiful people inside and out who have served at this Castle for centuries. They are well kept My Lady." Becca stopping in front of the flower patch so that Keikoa could get a closer look.

"They are all so beautiful, thats a very good way of showing rememberance..." Keikoa knelt down slightly, her red hair spilling over her shoulder, as she pointed to a white daisy "My mother loved these to death. I remember when I was just a little girl I would go to the big field outside of the factories that she worked in and pick about a dozen of them. Oh the smile on her face was worth every cut and scrap I recieved being out there in those fields." Keikoa laughed at the memory.

Becca joined in not because it was funny, but because Keikoa's laugh seemed to be contagious. Keikoa stood, and stared at the flowers. "It's very funny how little things can bring the biggest memories."

"Yes that is quite true Lady Keikoa. Quite true...If you don't mind me asking how did you even become a servant in the Constatine Castle. Here its not like applying for a job, it is handed down like royality you could say." Becca said turning to face Keikoa in front of the patch.

"Well honestly even till this day I don't have any clue how I made it into the castle. It is the same...there like it is here. Being a servant is passed down like...royality. There was this one rumor that the King had several illegitimate children, but it was always laughed at. All I remember is my mother sent me off to the castle to find work, she was very sick." Keikoa stopped looking once more at the flower. "So I did as she was asked, I went, and was immediately sent to the King's conference room, and he looked at me like I was dirt. And of course me being a child I was afraid, but I was hired to 'repay and serve him for everything he has given me'. Thats what he said, I never understood cause he didn't give me anything. So thats how it all happened." Keikoa sighed deeply, and looked once more at Becca who was wide eyed.

"Wow just like that huh? Whatever happened to your mother? " Becca asked.

"My mother was Olive Gerard, she was only permitted to see one time." Keikoa pressed a hand to her cheek to stop a tear from running down it, "In the castle of course I was never to leave unless instructed to do so. It was like a prison. Well she came told me I...I...I didn't need her anymore, and that I belonged to the King. She told me I was still her princess, and I would still ride on horse someday..." Keikoa laughed nervously, "Then she left. And about two days or three, my mother died from her sickness that ailed her since I was a child. I never knew who my father was, so I became stuck in the Constatine Castle."

"Olive....Olive Gerard?!" Becca replied astonished, taking Keikoa's arm.

Keikoa looked down at her arm bewildered, then back at Becca, "Yes Olive Gerard, and I am Keikoa Gerard."

Becca embraced Keikoa with a big hug, that made Keikoa forget her hurt and laugh. Hugging back awkwardly, Keikoa patted Becca's back lightly. "Oh my Olive Gerard. Dear sweet Oliva." Becca pulled back her cheeks slightly wet.

Becca wiped her hands over her cheeks, and stared at Keikoa. "Did you know my..." Keikoa was interrupted by a tall man with glasses.

"Prince Cronus' has sent a message that The Lady will be departing shortly." The servant said, as Keikoa nodded.

Oliva said nothing more, and lead Keikoa toward the big ship. By this time Fione should have all of Keikoa new belongings packed and on the ship. At the ship Keikoa would give her heartfelt farewells with her newly made friend Becca, and to share them with Fione. Everything that was done for her here would be greatly appreciated forever. The question was still there, how did Becca know of her mother, and why did she speak of her like she was some saint. Oliva was indeed an angel, but she never got around any.

Adenosine struck at Alexster, ripping open the front of his chest. As the blood flowed freely Alex put his hands together and recited a quick chant, bringing five daemons to his side. They were nothing but low-ranking daemons, ones who would be used in possesions, other than that they had no chance against Aden and he showed that by ripping two of them in half in one single swipe. "Aden killing me will never bring your family back."

"It'll make me a whole lot better though." Aden yelled while killing another one of the daemons, "You deserve to die many deaths for what you did to Constantine."

"The Gerard's were nothing but a weak royal line, what I did was to create a strong empire."

"You created an oppresive reign and placed an evil man upon the throne."

"And there is nothing you can do about it Canes, The last of the Gerard's died years ago." Aden finished killing the last daemon, which put a better fight than the other four combined, and turned towards Alex. The man tried bringing his arms up but was stopped by Aden's giant hands, he could feel Alex's arms break under the tremendous strain.

"Aden what are you doing? We have to get out of here!" The voice of the Princess rang through the hall and into Adenosine's ears, he turned to see soldiers flooding into the chamber from all sides. He let Alex drop to the ground and turned and scooped up the princess and took off flying across the giant hall and up the stairs. When he finally cleared the castle and was over the outer walls did Adenosine land. "So your real name is Canes? Weird I heard stories from Constantine about the kings personal bodyguards were lead by a man named Canes."

"That story is true, I lead the royal knights up until Alexster lead his coup against Gerard." Aden turned away and felt himself shrink back down into human form, "We better hurry and get to Beaumont Castle before nightfall."
