With all due respect I have to disagree and please hear me out. This is a 13+ forum correct? With that established we can reasonably assume that there are young teens reading these posts. And many of them may be undergoing their own gender identity and are confused and probably a little scared to come out to their parents and family. Many teens face fear of being kicked out, blackballed etc. These things contribute to the teen suicide rate in young people who are trans. So they may come here looking for a safe space and instead they find posts about how they don’t belong, they’re delusional, they’re living a lie, they’re abnormal, all kinds of bigoted stuff. How do you think that makes them feel? They’re already a little confused and maybe scared. They may already be dealing with hate in their communities. They shouldn’t have to see it here. Chat Avenue has the opportunity to lead by example. In Girls Chat we have a wonderful gorgeous woman mod @Simply Karina who is transgender just like me. @Amaisey has banned transphobia from the room. I implore you, not for my sake. I can take the crap, but on behalf of who reads these threads, the kids, to put a stop to the bigotry that has infiltrated the forums.

I reported @Samwise's comment and respectfully disagreed saying there was hate speech in this thread, that you were intentionally being misgendered, and they were talking about your genitals – and requested that another UM please review this thread and take action accordingly. If there was ever a question as to where @Samwise falls on the topic of transgender folks, I think, "whether trans are in fact whatever gender they say is a debatable topic," says it all.

People are free to have their own opinions. You can’t force views on people. Just because someone disagrees or does not see something the same as you doesn’t mean it’s wrong or bad. It just means they have a different point of view. We are all free to believe what we want and can’t force otherwise using punishments.

I thank you for your support. It really means a lot. I just wish that Chat Avenue didn’t harbor and give voice to bigotry. Let me start a thread about whether black people should be able to vote and use the same water fountains! Then we’ll see how it’s applied. And btw I don’t think that black people shouldn’t be allowed to vote or use the same water fountain. Just using an example. But transphobia and bigotry is perfectly ok 🙄

to clarify, there isn't a lot of room there to reply to flags. This debate in OP seems to take issue whether trans women should be allowed in female sports? or he questions is a trans woman, truly female to compete amongst women. it's a debatable topic even if it makes some people uncomfortable.

(I personally take no issue one way or another) - gender is a complicated topic so my remark was intended as a brief summary of OP premise.

And I did ask if either UM wanted to look again to be fair though . As i said before I honestly don't see why the debate ought be shuttered at this point - the thread isn't the **** show the other one was.

to clarify, there isn't a lot of room there to reply to flags. This debate in OP seems to take issue whether trans women should be allowed in sports? All I meant was it's debatable whether they should be allowed because OP listed a bunch of science etc in support (I personally take no issue one way or another my remark is a summary of what OP is saying-I just think the topic in OP is debateable, the thread isn't the **** show the other one was (and while trying to say as little as possible to avoid quicksand.)

Legitimate debates bring about healthy dialogue and it's good to challenge your own beliefs when faced with scientific facts in support of opposing arguments. Have a productive conversation about whether cisgender and transgender women can compete on par with each other at sports? Absolutely. "Whether trans are in fact whatever gender they say is a debatable topic"? Absolutely not.

Someone's gender identity should never be a debate. Their gender identity is decided by them and them alone, and is not up for discussion, much less debate. Your comment in reply to my report of your post was tasteless, as are many comments in this thread harassing a mod by intentionally misgendering her and commenting on her genitals.

I appreciate you passing this off to @Apollo and @Ness_eb for review. Your response to me speaks volumes and I understand why you feel that this thread is full of "speech you hate rather than hate speech" when you believe someone's gender should be a topic of debate.

Gender is a complicated topic. Most dictionary's list biological sex as one of the means for classification of gender. That's what I meant. It's simply a summary relating to what the OP was arguing and i'm not going to become part of the debate.

Being a transgender woman, I do agree the sports thing isnt a good idea. UFC (or any MMA for that matter) is what I know most about. Ive experimented with a couple and as follows are my thoughts on the matter.

MMA fighters have a fight weight and a walk around weight. If I were to compete in womens MMA, Id have drop down to 135 in order to compete. I know my strength and my abilities, in no way shape or form would be fair for me to compete against a cis woman. Im confident in who I am and dont need validation from anyone (Lets people think what they want, they have to live with it), but some lnes do need to drawn.

That is my opinion. Take it or leave it, I hope everyone has a safe and blessed day 🔥

On page 2 you replied with a legitimate response then i made a counter argument, citing a medical journal.
