Are people born gay or are they made

There has been arguments that propose a person is or can be born gay. Some gay people claim "they're born this way".

There was a scientific study done that concluded genetics have little to no role in sexual orientation. (Science which I can link for non trolls). So if genetics don't play a VITAL role in someone's sexuality. Then it stands to reason influences outside biology do. Like the devil and sinful parents who are influencing children as young as infants to immoral sexualities.

LGBT people will argue that it's a healthy happy lifestyle but the statistics argue otherwise. 78% of male homosexuals have or have had STDS. They are 23x more likely to contract an STD over a heterosexual. Their average lifespan is only 42 years old. Lesbians are 14x more likely to contract syphilis. Trans suicide rate is over 50%

Is this what is considered normal and healthy?

Does God make anyone gay?
The answer is no. Homosexuality, and any immoral desires are a result of SIN. This sin can be passed down through your childhood but that doesn't make it okay.

Is being gay a choice?
I'll answer that with an example.

Have you ever felt attracted do the same sex? Have you ever felt like doing something sinful, or immoral? Have you ever felt like commiting acts of violence? If the answer is yes then there is nothing wrong with that because emotions are what makes us human.

However, just because we feel a certain way, does not mean we should act on those destructive and sinful feelings.

Now ask yourself again whether this a choice, whether being gay is a choice?

The only answer to avoid making the wrong choices and living a life of sin, is God.

I believe this Yes you can be born Gay. Now sometimes you can choose whatever you want to be. I was born straight. God made everyone just the way he wanted too. We are all made in Gods hands. However we are all are that the way God wanted us to be. We are all perfectly made in Gods hands. People are born just like they are supposed to be. I believe God made them just they way they are. No one is the same. We are different made from God. God did not make any mistakes on any of us. God can make you straight. God can make you BI. God can make you gay. God made you just the way you are. This is my own opinion. I love everybody, just like God loves us ALL. Enough said!

This is a violation of debate thread rules #1 and #3. Do not debate individuals and stick to the topic.

If you don't like the debate then get the fk out or block. It's that simple.

I think I might post a thread that says Hitler was right. Technically it’s a debatable topic right?
If that's what you want to debate then go right ahead.
Because that’s what we do here right? Even tho Hitler was the most evil human ever to live and to disagree with the fact that the holocaust was real is despicable on its own merit, This is the crap that I’m trying to bring attention to! @Samwise why do you allow this garbage to flourish?
Yes that's what we do here, debate topics and ideas. Not the individual posting them.
Not everything is a debatable topic. Some things just need to be shut down and not allow hate and bigotry to flourish
You can shut me off by hitting the ignore button but you crave my attention.

This is true as were born in the image of god but God also gave us free will.

Since most rightwing Christians see God as a HE, does that make male Christians gay for loving God?
Buddhism, Catholics, Christianity, Islam, Presbyterians, Orthodox Judaism, Mormons just to name a few all detest homosexuality.

God is our heavenly Father that's why those pronouns are used.

Does loving your father make you gay?

Is your response to this is going to be, "well if loving your father doesn't make you gay then why does it make gay people gay?" Why is it homosexual love is forbidden but not loving your father if he's a man?

Erm, in your case, yes...
First and foremost I am in a relationship with God.
As God is presumably male based on the pronoun choice and, as he's your "heavenly father", (assuming you're male) it's arguable that anyone that claims they're in a relationship with God is in fact in a homosexual relationship with their father.

Like the devil and sinful parents who are influencing children as young as infants to immoral sexualities.

As you like to proselytize, that would also suggest that you are passing onto the children and infants that it's appropriate to worship a man, call him your "heavenly father", pray to him, beg him for forgiveness, and have a relationship with said father.

The only answer to avoid making the wrong choices and living a life of sin, is God.

God is male, requires everyone to pray to him, to beg to him, to be called "father", and various other unusual sounding things. This sounds like something that belongs in taboo room in Adult Chat and the vibe I get is that, as long as a kinky father/son roleplay while begging and praying is done to someone called God, it's okay. If you want to do that, that's totally okay.

The sermon delivered in the first post, framed in the way that it has been, isn't really a debate or a debatable issue. It pre-supposes far too much and is loaded with bigotry, more dodgy stats than Trump and his team spurt out, and sounds like another one of the OP's weird fantasies.

However...

Born gay, choose to be gay? God made me gay? I don't know. I don't really care. It makes no difference. The time that religion dictated the way people should live their lives went out in the middle of the last century in this country (unless people wish to live that way and that's their choice) so it's an irrelevant, out-dated, has-been debate that produces no fruitful outcome and is debated only by those with nothing much better to do

The whole religious slant on sexuality has been debated to the death. For every biblical verse that can be found on one side of the argument, another can be found on the opposing side but Matthew 22:35–40 sums it all up perfectly. Whether I believe in God or not makes no difference to the view that Christianity promotes loving your neighbour above all else. Those that use God or Christianity to further their own agenda should remember Exodus 20:7 and I'm pretty sure that breaking that would be frowned upon by the Almighty

Whelp I know he’s trolling for a response….

but if it’s all gods plan, and he knows the beginning and then I would say destiny would assume their sexuality from the start… so born gay.

In psychology we went over a study that was in its youth, but there was a gene that was linked to homosexuality. More so the shape.

All in all no one comes out of the womb looking for their preferred gender, but if this develops or not, it doesn’t matter.

Do you have sex with your dad? (Assuming your dad isn't gay)

God is not a man, he is our creator. We do not worship a man we worship God

Why isn't it appropriate to teach your children to live an ethical and moral lifestyle? Because that's what the data suggests of your immoral lifestyle.

God is not male. For a gay person I think you of all people would know the difference between sex and pronouns.

So why are you debating it, if not that you are also a person with nothing much better to do.

I would lean to believing that people are born in to their sexual preferences. Whether that is to the same or opposite sex or to a certain body style or hair color or what not. I don't think that is something you just "change".
