Um. Mental health?

One day I saw this and it set me on a very different path in my life, one where I started to heal a lot on my own. I hope that maybe this will help you, maybe it will light a spark inside of you like it did for me.

to the person i am today:
I promise i will start loving you again. i just need to remember how it feels to be proud of you, to look in the mirror and be in awe of you. I just need to remember what it was like before i told you you weren't good enough. I buried you alive, piling doubt and loathing onto your body like soil, so only i can bring you back to life.
and i promise i will ❤️❤️

The universe will keep handing you the same lessons, the same relationships, the same type of love and the same type of pain until you realise that the common denominator is you.
Until you are finally tired of your own patterns.
Until you finally love yourself enough to raise your standards and believe you are worthy of holding them. You see the thing is, until you learn to love yourself more, you will continue to accept the love that mirrors how you truly feel about yourself. The answer to everything you desire is within you ❤️

Well, let’s just say I’m struggling aha. I have been doing very well recently, but life is taking its toll on me and causing me to lose my mind.
I am struggling with body image and people calling me fat etc, which has lead me to starving myself. I am fed up with everything and I wish I was able to not listen to such dickheads.

Sorry lol
Get away from these people who speak Ill of you if you can. You will notice a change in your mood. The only example I can give you is when people take breaks from these chat rooms or even social media. Even if they're not ridiculing you, they're negative and can effect your mental health without you noticing.

You're not fat and even if you were, being told it doesn't help any. Starving yourself will stunt your metabolism to where you will end up gaining weight even with consuming as little as 1k calories per day, please don't do that?

Get away from these people and think to yourself, is it you who wants to change your body or is it gaslighting and harassment from negative people that make you feel that way?

If you need any help with dieting and doing it the healthy way, feel free to pm me but please don't starve yourself because that leads to other problems.

I wanted to put my two cents in here since I struggle with very similar thoughts.
I saw you are 19 years old. You are very young and I’m so sorry you’re going through this battle in your head.
As someone who also has these thoughts and feelings (being called fat, hating my body) I know how much of a struggle it is.
I am almost 60 pounds down since July 2022, and let me tell you no matter how much weight you lose you will still have these feelings.
I look in the mirror and still see the girl who was 205 pounds…
I will tell you what helps my self confidence and my self esteem… I learned this in therapy by the way…
Every single morning or whenever you wake up go to your mirror. When you are at the mirror say one positive thing about yourself.. it could be something as simple as “my hair is so beautiful today.” Reverse psychology works very well on your brain. To get your confidence back you need to start trying to rewire your brain into thinking you are beautiful.. which you are by the way.

A bad way to lose weight is starving yourself.. when you do this your body loses its strength and muscles, you also have your body storing fat. If you’re interested in losing weight start by doing something simple… for me I started drinking diet soda instead of regular, I started moving myself more. Weight loss mostly happens in the kitchen, BUT.. you don’t have to give up the things you love. More moderation is key. Don’t beat yourself up, I know you can get your self confidence up. Please take care of yourself. ❤️

Remember you beautiful young girl, “My weight is none of your concern unless I’m sitting on your face.”

Thank you beautiful, this really helped me, thank you both @Boba Fett and @Kd. 🥰

Hi, sorry I just saw this thread.
I’m sorry you’re struggling. You have gotten some good support here which is great to see. Support from friends and family and even kind “strangers” online can really make a difference in you getting to a more positive, happier place in your life. I also think connecting with a good therapist would be invaluable as another way to work through any issues you might be struggling with.
I know you already know this but my PMs are always open if you need anything. Hang in there, you will get through this. 💪🏻 😇
