What lessons did you learn from your past relationships?

If you're not honest about who you are and what you want, then it's going to be difficult to get anywhere. Everyone has their own unique way of doing things, but if you don't have a clear understanding of how someone else thinks, how they act, and how that relates to you — then you might find yourself being disappointed over and over again. Know your worth before going into any relationship, don't lower the bar for anyone. Don't minimize Red flags. When someone shows you who they really are... Believe them the first time, stop trying to live their toxicity away, don't linger unhealthy relationships long past their expiration date. Perhaps the most difficult and most uniquely personal lesson for myself.... (I've been staring at this screen for almost 10 minutes, debating on sharing this truth so openly, here goes)
It ended with 10 policemen 3 detectives and 2 k9 units he was captured he's in prison.
The lesson- TAKE YOUR TIME , anyone can put on an act for a short period of time, you have to take the time to see who someone really... really is. No drama here, no agenda, and no need for pity or concern. All is well now, but I learned this lesson the hard way. Shinedown has a song that hits me so hard- Monsters. Favorite line "My Monster's are Real"
Hope this helps even just one person 💯🤍

ohh yes, you can BiteMeh any day and every which way darlin'. <3 Ma kinda girl, tough and womanly. 😀

That’s not love, mate. That’s mental illness.
Not to be a technical "Karen", more so that's an actual disease, but meh it definitely will end up passing the first house on the left, taking a hard right at some point, if used as a temporary bandaid for issues.

Can’t relate, I prefer to ignore all the red flags.

Give me the most toxic love, all that hate fking, all the possessiveness 🥰 I want that fk and leave type of love that somehow lasts beyond all odds.
Mmhhmm mhmm*twirls metaphorical mustache intriguingly, I know this spirit animal*

Seven beautiful lessons I learned from past relationships: (in no particular order)
People don't belong to you.
We all need “me time.”
You complete yourself.
You can only change yourself, so don't fool yourself to believing you will transform your partner.
The lust period doesn't last forever.

Ive learned its not just a saying or a quick pick me up from a failed relationship, but if you dont truly respect yourself thern it will be tough to see the true value in another. Ive also learned that no matter had badly you want something to work out, sometimes they just dont. I feel like each failed relationship is a lesson though. A way for us to figure out exactly what we want in another person and in ourselves. Lastly, despite not having it now, Ive learned true love does exist 💜

Different lessons were learned with different people, and sometimes the lessons are reviews going back over what you should already know but have apparently forgotten.

I have thought about this question more than last time I answered.

I learnt to love, not just her but others.

I learnt kindness and how to handle idiots in a more calm manner.

I learnt how to debate more effectively, and better language skills. My writing skills improved so much with her and our debates over many topics. My ability to express myself increased massively. She challenged me daily.

I learnt to live just for today, you never know when things will change. I learnt to never leave things unsaid.

I learnt that true love is rare, that its hard to find such love once its lost. Our love seems rare to me, especially at our age. That it never dies. I can understand the Mormon thing of being married for all time. For me I am still with her and will probably always feel that way.

I learnt that grieving can go on and on and on its not a fleeting thing but a forever thing. Its not something that can be controlled or set aside its just there.

Hard to say in general. I learned a LOT about her and the cheating c**t she was but I'm not sure there's anything I learned that could of prevented it. That was on her.
