I called in sick today. Still have a day or two left in the year... Might call in tomorrow or Friday still.

Booked myself a massage today. Super sore. Need to start actually using my benefits.
 
I had my post op visit after my second eye surgery yesterday. I hate the bloody numbing drops they use but any of you that may be facing eye surgery and are nervous about it don't be. The only thing that sucks is you have to pick which vision you want to restore either distance like for driving or up close like for reading. They do make lens that restore both but insurance will not cover that.
So know that should I be driving in your area I will be able to see you before I run over you.

I had left-eye surgery over the summer for cataracts, and it's a pretty terrible experience...but not in comparison to other surgeries you could possibly undergo. The actual surgery itself is only five minutes long, but the eye drops prior to and after, then wearing an eye patch for a week are the worst part of it all.

Good luck to ya! The end results will be worth the pain you have to go through, I don't remember a time I've seen this clearly.

Sorry you had a bad experience. Once they gave me the liquid VERSED , I had no worries at all. The worse part is the eye drops. I am almost done with the other eye, as far as eye drops and in a few weeks . It is not a picnic but much better than a visit to the dentist.
The only sad thing is they do make lens which improve both up close and distance but insurance covers it. I only wear the eye patch at night and to add spice in my marriage it is a pirate eye match. When I do my pirate voice and say shiver me timbers woman I get ignored.
 
My (non-refundable) flight being cancelled the day before my vacation. . Them telling me they can’t get me there until the 18th, the day before my return flight. Finding the last available rental car and driving to Dallas at 3 am. Sitting at my gate in my comfies with the fam bam waiting on our gd vacation.

Ahoy, Matey! Shiver me timbers! TMI about your bedroom habits with the eye patch on, but at least you're having "fun" with it. 🧐 I chose far-sighted because I've never been before...so basically, one of my eye is near-sighted and the other is far-sighted after the surgery. That took some time getting used to. lol All-in-all, better than not seeing through our eyes at all, and I feel like I'm wearing 4k lenses in my eyes all the time now!

I hope you're healing and starting to enjoy your new set of eyes. 🙂

Drove a manual Hilux today up and down the highway without killing myself...didnt think I would remember how to drive stickshift! But not doing that again in a hurry 😓

my ex killed herself this morning in the most ironic way imaginable,

she was drunk, fighting with so-&-so about such-&-such, when she told her current / former luver; * how would you feel if i crashed my car right now, would you miss me if i killed myself? * while on the phone with them…

suddenly, the significant other, a former friend of mine, tells me as they are crying hysterically to me at 3 in the mornin’ that the last thing she said was * oh shitt * as she lost control of her jeep grand cherokee & crashed head on into a pole, accidentally killing herself for real 🙊

…that bitch has no face now, the pole literally went through the driver side wind shield…

let this be a lesson to everyone here that feigns suicide over absolute bullshitt for attention, one day you’re going to fuckk up & accidentally kill yourself for realsies & end up in a closed casket with no fuckin’ face…
