I don't particularly wear a lot of dark clothing but I think I look better in earth tones. I've passed my 'goth' days.

On topic though no I don’t think black is depressing. If I wanted to be approached by people when I’m not in work I’d wear happy colours that scream “approach me”.
No. I’ll stick with my shaved head, stubble and scally gear.

Black is a wonderful color to wear. It's also pretty good color for yoga pants and tights, no? Don't usually see a fit chick wearing those and think of depression. Other things, yes. Depression, no. In fact, it's sort of a cure for depression in and of itself.
Black also goes with any color rug or floor. 😊 And finally, if you have to plan a quick escape in the morning, black goes with any color shirt you happen to find on the way out. 🏃🏻♀️ Hey you might even luck into your next favorite outfit.
