Absolutely not in my world.
Whatever happened to equality and fairness to the women???

In a rigid sense I think not, the surface may have changed for males wanting to exchange words with other lesbian’s but they are what they are. On a personal level I think it is right in any way.
 
I can't imagine a male has any good intentions in Lesbian chat, just like how I wouldn't expect a female in Gay chat to have any good intentions. However:
- Some femboys are listed as female in Gay Chat
- Some trans-women are listed as female in Gay Chat
So we can't blindly kick female-listed people because they might have legitimate reason to be there - some gay men are still into trans-women, so it wouldn't make sense to remove them entirely.

Just consider this when factoring in your opinion. It's valid, but not everything is black and white (especially in the LGBT community)

Ahh! I see. I understand your point.

But, for a male to be listed as a trans-woman or whatever kind of female known. Does that make it okay? because it goes down entirely to what the Lesbian chat is all about which is. Women attracted to other women. Same goes for Women chatting to other women, or Lesbians chatting to lesbian’s

I know not everything is black and white, but I sure and hell wish it was! Because then, no more males would be allowed in the chatroom. A male does not identify as as female on their ID card

Anyways, I don’t think the issue will be resolved but that’s just my own opinion on the matter. Thanks for anyone reading this!

and on the other hand, I have a couple of female friends who hang out on gaychat because they find it more peaceful and less toxic than lesbian chat. (ofc i dont know if they are female, but i kinda trust them. people are more honest on gay chat i think).
(I'm friendly with loads of trans ppl, and ppl who feel differently, btw. I don't think it makes sense, but i'm happy to be friendly with lots of people.

'Lesbian' chat is full of self-hating toxic males, anyway.
(and yes, before u ask, I've checked it out, out of curiosity, and it was dreadful).
 
We can only try. If it says female only room that's what it should be. It's not for us to dig into everyone's profiles to manage this room.

I want it noted that I specifically said that femboys and trans-women in Gay Chat tend to be somewhat popular, and I can't imagine it's different in Lesbian Chat with trans-men and tomboys.

I specifically mentioned my opinion with gender-curious or gender-vague people, and you brought a discussion about trans people across threads to this one, which largely has nothing to do with trans people.

i think it's different in lesbian chat because there are lots of men claiming to be women there (and they are probably not even transexual, or transvestite). I base my view on my experiences in adult chat (this site and others), which are full of lying men pretending to be women.

SO - how to moderate it? pretty much impossible.

Why is this even a thing? Pre banning other lbgtq members bc ur assuming what that group will do inside a ltbgq chat room is insane. ill actions of a singular invidiual a part of a group shouldn’t be the reason why u should pre ban the whole group they identifywith . If you want total acceptance of something or another, the last thing you want to do is build walls. Someone’s sexual orientation is not a contagious disease like the Black Death that ravaged Medieval and Early Modern Europe that should be kept isolated and contained. That’s utter madness. Not a single sexual orientation differs from the norm, because there isn’t a norm.

One’s sexual orientation shouldn’t define who you are and it shouldn’t matter what the other persons sexual orientation is. Avoiding people on the basis of their sexual orientation is wild. I hang out with people of all walks of life, irrespective of our preferences or differences. All these different chatroom categories (Singles/Dating/Video Games etc) don’t make sense to me with the exception of the age categories. Rooms shouldn’t be categorized on the basis of preferences. That’s segregation. General Chat is the only chat that makes sense on here, except for the way it’s run. That’s why I stick to Singles, solely because I think the current staff are sound.

it's a thing because males are fundamentally different than females.

I know some people want to think (delusionally) that we are all the same - and maybe we are as humans - but men and women are not the same. why this needs to be explained, reiterated, is beyond my comprehension.

I disagree with General Chat - there is not one room on this site that is not for 18 above that doesn't involve sex (for people who are not interested in that genre) the room is 13+ and a mindfield for fake teens and older preying upon them. In every aspect of life no teen would want to hang out with older folks that is just pure rubbish! They have teen chat, kids chat, girls chat why do they need to be in General? I know there is singles chat but the rubbish that goes there you are unable to have a decent conversation (not everyone).

its a complex issue, with no certain answers, I reckon.
Altho ... there are some facts to put on the table.
Watever we may feel 'inside', it is men who commit the majority of rapes, murders, and violent crimes.
men and women are a bit different, certainly in that regard.

Not even Chat Avenue has the sever capacity to create a distinct space for every politically correct definition/variation of “lesbian” that some long-winded forums author can spin. And to the best of my knowledge, technology has yet to bless us with the Anatomy-o-Meter so that each chatter can biometrically vouchsafe his gender as assigned at birth or the operating table. There simply is no way, and will never be, to keep men out—so the laziest and only thing to do is to state “men are allowed here.”

As a logical and tragic result, Les Chat has become a dumping ground: femboys proudly tout their offerings; straight, married “curious” women go there to sext with one another; males of every ilk are titillated by the mere word “lesbian” and go to convert other males pretending to be lesbians; poachers from “sex sites”/competing sites openly prey on the uninitiated—unchecked—and spammers and scammers have found refuge in the site that CA abandoned eons ago.

Another recent post on Forums was asking where the lesbians are? They’ve been driven away to other online platforms because Lesbian Chat has become a place where lesbians are the distinct minority. And wading through the catfish, bored housewives, and femboys just to have a decent conversation or a laugh or two isn’t worth the seizure-inducing spam, overt racism, and exposure to filth that would make Urban Dictionary cringe and blush—all as the site rules remind us every so often that “this is NOT a sex site.”

Gay men are wayyyyyy better and more interesting in my eyes. I have two gay cousins and gay guy friends I grew up with. I've always been a "Ally" to the gay community since a child, and always showed my support for them, they rule.

I'm glad they taught me how to "Vogue" when I was young. Cause alot of gay men know how to dance and are stylish, and very good designers ,and fashion icons
They will dress a person up like they are about to be in a fashion show they slay.

They make a woman look good and everytime I would dress up even if I wore a corset,my cousins would be so happy for me and hyping me up, and say omg you look so beautiful that corset or that dress omg lol

We always listened to The Queen of Pop Madonna together too lol cause every gay guy loves Madonna and some vogue we paid homage.

I prefer to hang with gay men at least they won't like me, or obsess over me maybe I should pop in the gay room and see who's in there lol I'm easy to get along well with and I gel well with gay guys.

If I was also a guy ,I wouldn't even step foot in Les chat or date anyone in there either. There's also nothing in that room for anyone ,it's very boring and people will only waste their time there for sure 🤣nobody talks there and knows how to form a single sentence nor a conversation or is interesting🤣

Gay chat is mostly guys asking for various forms of sex and rp. There are very few guys (at least that I have seen) that are there to actually talk.

I think in most of the rooms ,there's a lot of perverts roaming around in it, and asking for all kinds of disgusting/inappropriate stuff.

It's rare to see someone who wants to just actually chat ,and asks for nothing else.
 
Last year. I was asked to mod for gay chat , a mod pm me asking me if I was interested in modding , and told me they had availability and needed to fill spots up.

They had 6 spots to fill,but I didn't apply because I own my own sites, and staff in other chatsites owned by friends. I wouldn't want to be mod ,nor mod for this chatsite so I didn't apply.

guys shouldnt be auto banned from lesbian chat just bc they have a pp. you never know if someone is questioning trans an ally or just interested but actually normal acting and normal is already rare enough online

if a guy OR girl is being creepy spamming cringe crap or treating the room like a lesby thirst trap then ye that should be an insta kick but base it on what they do not what you assume

lesbian chat should stay lesbian centered but that shouldnt mean you need a rainbow girlie membership card just to speak. its like pride parades banning all straight people and saying "sorry this celebration space is for the ltbgq only"

Sorry, I disagree. I think men need to stay in mens rooms, and women need to stay in womens rooms.
 
Should create new rooms for biological male and biological female chatrooms since someone compares bathroom situation to chatrooms. 🤷‍♂️ Add disabled chat as well.

Women who love women deserve a “safe” space to chat with similarly inclined women. Period. Full stop. I don’t care if Chat Avenue opens a “Straight Married Women Who Think They’re Curious” site or a “Femboy” site—I promise not to visit. Chat Avenue has categories for a reason; I simply do not understand nor appreciate the fact that Lesbian Chat has become over-run by everything but actual lesbians. The site has been in a steep and steady decline for a number of years now, and it’s disheartening because I don’t know where the lesbians who just want to chat actually *go*, but it’s no longer there.
