Some people are given all the opportunities to talk freely about their problems, but still end up taking their lives. Talking about your problems helps, but itās not a panacea. The brain is a complex organ. Talking does little to adjust certain chemical imbalances, even if there are no chemical imbalance at all, societal relations that cause psychosocial problems are too complex to solve by having a conversation about them. Some people donāt want to talk about their problems and itās hard for loved ones to gage whatās going on.

2. ur insensitive to the victims of those who has or had luv'd ones that did kill themselves, such as wat you said about my father... do u think he spent his entire life on various internet communities like ur old ass has??? ofc not, bc he was a normal functioning adult unlike u, my father was never silenced he obviously chose to not speak about it & made it seem like there wasn't anything wrong which often is the case with ppl who are genuinely suicidal bc they dont want to burden their luv'd ones with their problems more than they feel they already do & that is often why the one suffering suffers silently...

Talking/joking about suicide FOR ATTENTION PURPOSES ONLY is what the thread is all about. Not about mental health or anyone actually considering self harm. Trolling or spamming about suicide is a slap in the face to all the families who have lost someone to it. Itās immoral and does a disservice to everyone who is actually suffering. As someone who was suicidal just a couple years ago and was actually hospitalized for it I can say I never thought about ranting online about it all day every day. Anyone defending people who use suicide talk for attention/entertainment purposes are just as sick as those who do it in the first place. And again, @babydolla im so sorry for your loss. Stay strong šŖ

it should be a bannable offense because there are clear resources available for those who are sincerely contemplating taking their own lives & need help, there are people who care... this also goes to show that by no means should a moderator be obligated to step in & intervene themselves in something as fragile as someone's mental health, their ONLY obligation is enforcing the rules & keeping the chat safe...
so with this thread, now the mods too has a resource that they can redirect them to, & can proceed to removing them from the chat accordingly with the presumption that they are likely only fishing for pity...

You are clearly intent on milking your father's mental illness which took his life for you own attention-seeking efforts. you HATE it when all attention isn't on you (it's nauseating). As for the whether people should talk about suicide, many studies carried out by the real professionals in the medical world show that if people are permitted to talk openly about feeling suicidal, they are more likely to get the support they need and/or not carry through on killing themselves. I would genuinely advise all of you NOT to be submitting to the rantings of drug-affected, attention seekers who are incapable of seeing beyond her own victimhood for attention-seeking purposes, then projecting that onto matters they are in no way qualified to be commenting on.

I agree with you. It doesn't guarantee anything. But why deny that person the chance it might. Medical studies have shown that by de-stigmatising suicide and openly talking about it, it HAS saved lives. You shouldn't be punishing someone because they state they're hurting and want to pain to stop. Which is what babydolla wants to happen on this chat site because it takes away attention from her constant attention-seeking bullshit.
