Is talking about Suicide for Attention normal & socially acceptable???

there are still tons of users who has not gave any insight / their vote, still tons of users that has not read it, & tons of new users that join the forums everyday whether to lurk or not that this thread should be available to...

this thread is important, bc it's a discussion about the issues that comes with allowing a user to nimbly bring up suicide every chance they get, as far as to suggest they want to kill themselves, but it's all just an act for attention... like the many examples i has given of different users who do exactly that...

it even allows other victims of suicide, ppl that has experienced someone very dear to them killing themselves to share not only their experience, but to share further indication that no one comes on chat-room that is sincerely suicidal & starts talking about wanting to die with total strangers & are actually serious about it...

& u know what??? if this thread closes without my blessing, i'll just fuckin' make another one i dont care... 🤷🏼‍♀️

Just for clarification, I laugh reacted purely for the last line.

I agree it’s an important topic and anyone who uses false claims of suicide just for attention should be banned. I ain’t getting paid to decipher who is legit and who isn’t.

That’s fine. I made my points here so I’m done. And just to be clear, my first few posts were valid and on topic. Then I asked you an on topic question that you didn’t like. Then Dontcostyanuffin got mixed up and the thread derailed a bit. But that got resolved. Until Luka decided to “poke his nose in” and Tattletag® my admin. Which I needed to respond to. So if you want to blame anyone for bringing me back here, it’s him. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Now hopefully people can stop talking about me and get back to the topic at hand. Anyhoo, I’m out ✌🏻

Threads get derailed all the time. I derail most of them myself. Can’t help it. There’s things I have to say that people need to hear.

In my opinion, it’s only the complaint threads that should get closed when derailed. Threads such as this can handle a little derailment. I’m sure if @babydolla wanred it closed, she’d request it.

Now leave her alone, you bully. Or I’m gonna subliminally suggest she starts a poll on whether you should be banned. Monster

I still stand by my original post regarding Sanguine’s comment being out of line, though. Her comment was uncalled for. You don’t talk **** about a forum member's dead parent, plus it’s not Babydolla’s intention to be hateful as you assumed , after all, she stated she lost het father due to suicide.

i just want to add though that my followed up response moving on from the derailment actually is relevant to the thread that entire derailment & their motive for derailment is a point to all this my boy...

i swear some of the mod's in this thread are the more reason as to why ppl bringing up suicide here should be a bannable offense;

he knows that if these lunatics that behave like this were to be banned, he wouldnt has anyone to try saving & use to make himself look like as if he’s a totally good guy…

its so insensitive that its pitiful, & grossly inappropriate; literally refused to reference people to the suicide prevention thread bc he embarrassingly assumed i made that thread, all bc im outspoken & wont mask what i believe in to spare some fuckin’ lil’ yella bitch’s feelings…

he’s the opposite extreme of ppl talking about killing themselves for attention, bc he acts like hes holier than thou bc he think hes doing a service, like the other jack off mod’s that think theyre obligated to help these ppl like they took some sort of oath that gave their self entitled & disrespectful opinions in this thread too… but as soon as u call them out on how inappropriate / disrespectful & frankly sociopathic that is, they start demanding ur degree, its crazy why any of this is acceptable is beyond me... 🤌🏼

Honestly when i lost my bsf at his house. I honestly thought about suicide. Never for attention though. I did go through depression for a month and a half. This is hard to explain but then i got a "sign" from my bsf. There was this stray dog. Badly injured. My bsf said if there is every a yellow lab in danger it will be a sign from God. Sure enough the stray dog was a yellow lab. So i ended up crying and helping the pup. She's 5 yrs now. She's helped me through times when i cry about my bsf. I feel that my friend is always with me and his family. I am so sorry if i went off topic.

i dont feel that is off-topic, if anything u aide in the debate by sharing ur experience bc u are a victim of someone who was very dear to you that has committed suicide...

so i can imagine that ppl who use suicide to feed off of the attention they receive strikes u as well as extremely disrespectful & inappropriate, as well as those who facilitate & enable it...

For someone who doesn’t want me in your thread you sure keep referencing me a lot. 🤨
Since you referenced me I’ll respond to your comment and to make my position completely clear I’ll say this:

- The site rules are clear about suicide talk in chat. It’s not allowed.

- I enforce that rule by first warning the person to stop and providing mental health support information. If they keep talking about it I’ll incrementally mute/kick.

- It’s not my place to try and “save” someone or talk them down off the ledge.

- It’s also not my place to determine if someone is seriously suicidal or doing it for attention. Thats why I handle it the way I described in my first point.

- I don’t think I’m “holier than thou”. I enforce the site rules. Full stop.

My position on the “debate” is that the site rules as written are appropriate and prevent people from talking about suicide in chat. Those rules do not need to be changed. If someone continues to violate the site rules on a daily basis the room admin should consider them for a ban.
