Before you asshats begin, id like to note I am fully aware of the clickbait title and noting that murdering a child in the womb does in fact prevent a birth.

This thread is about abortion being used as an alternative to contraceptives.

Abortion Is Not Birth Control, it is murder

Abortion is a complex medical procedure with potential physical and emotional consequences. People who say it's not murder will highlight cases where abortions are performed due to medical complications or instances where continuing with the pregnancy would endanger the mother's life.

These cases should be treated as exceptions rather than justifications for widespread access to abortion.

There are numerous effective methods of contraception readily available. From abstinence, to condoms, to birth control pills, and many various options that can prevent unwanted pregnancies without resorting to abortion. These methods allow individuals to take control over their reproductive choices.

Relying on abortion as a primary form of birth control perpetuates a culture where sexual irresponsibility becomes normalized. It sends the message that consequences can be easily erased through termination rather than encouraging individuals to engage in responsible sexual behavior.

Abortion should not be considered as an alternative or substitute to contraceptive birth control methods. The physical and emotional toll it takes on women, along with its disregard for the sanctity of life and promotion of irresponsible behavior, makes it an unacceptable solution.

People should have the free will to choose what happens to there body.
They could of been asulted or contraception broke are they then forced to carry a child?
I believe each person has a story and sometimes this might be there only option.
Just for the sake of it because you choose to have unprotected sex? maybe not so much an option.
I don't know exactly what's best to say here but I know each person's reasons are different and therefore should be considered.
 
True, abortion is not birth control.
Abortion is only in medical cases where the malformation on the fetus appears and it is evident and confirmed by the consilium of medical professionals.
Nothing else to add here.

I agree abortion shouldn't be used. If you want to have intercourse (sry not sure if the other word is allowed or not) do it safely with protection. In one case you can't control if it's safe intercourse or not. If you're r****d you have no option. If you're rlly young and aren't responsible you have no choice. I recently found out that the covid vaccines have aborted babies in them. Which is even more wrong. If you need to know how i know feel free to pvt message me.

The covid vaccine thing sounds like pro life propaganda. In any case it's BS.

It's the woman's right to choose. She has to carry the pregnancy and if she's not ready or contraception has failed then a termination is her decision and nobody else's. Nobody has a right to force their views, whatever they may be and whatever the reason for them, on another.

This thread/ post could be a trigger for some folks just letting you know. This was not necessary. Especially if someone got. _ _ _ _. Like I did before. So much pain and bloody I had to go through in my lifetime. I do not even want to see this. SMH! Enough said! Very bad thead. This one hurts the most for me.
 
I don't actually personally know of any cases of people who do treat birth control as abortion. Do you have any statistics or anything? Every female friend who has confided in me about their abortion has made that choice because they felt they had no other option, and it was usually due to a combination of abuse, violence, coercion or birth control failure.

I am honestly not sure why people think women would just have abortions for no reason or use it as a form of “birth control.”
Having an abortion causes strain on a body and the brain. It hurts more than people realize. Your body just doesn’t recover fast. Your brain doesn’t go back to normal for months.
As someone who has had one at 22 weeks due to several chromosomal abnormalities with the baby, I know a lot on the subject and I’ve had 2 miscarriages where I’ve had to use some of the pills they use on medicinal abortions. 🤦‍♀️ it isn’t pleasant.
Abortion is healthcare whether people like it or not. I can’t speak for the women who would think that abortion is birth control because I don’t know anyone personally, but yeah.
People need to do more research on the statistics of abortion- especially the people who think abortion is murder. I respect everyone’s opinions and I’m not the arguing type. 👍🏻

Thank you for sharing this information! And thank you also for sharing your personal story. I'm sorry you had to go through that. I think it's very easy for some people to judge when they've never had to experience something themselves. I can't agree more with what you've said on the matter.

I have been saying this for months! I HATE how some of the states have abortion banned. I have also had people judge me for having an abortion. My baby’s heart wasn’t formed properly, the brain wasn’t formed properly, there weren’t many things formed properly… so I had to make the difficult decision. It was literally the TOUGHEST decision I have ever had to make. The first month after the abortion is tough, your body has just been through so much and your mood is sh!t.

Bread and I are chill but some of his topics aren’t the best… like this one. I think he is just more interested in the debates tbh. He does come up with some good points in other threads.

Here is a national survey.

I don't think any woman is going to answer because he promised he would pull out.

None of the reasons above 4% are a good reason to kill a baby
