Should Chat Avenue Allow Underage Moderators?

All I want is more people who what to help a community to remove and report nasty people all I want is no more perverts no more sexual stuff that’s all I want on all these Chatrooms I wish we can have more mods like pinky who is a really good mod from what I heard.

I believe that we should push to make this place a safe community for all ages but that only if we as community try. im not pointing at anyone but the people who are perverts, rude, act sexual to kids and don’t try to make a difference but only add fuel to the fire that’s been burning for so long and I just that fire gone.

In Chat Ave...I don't think there ARE any good reasons a minor should mod as the rooms are largely unregulated and there is nothing else like it.

On other websites it is a different story where Mods have tools and the owners of the websites have a moral compass that doesn't involve appeasing the paedophiles and let them go unpunished....Only on Chat ave.

I agree. Mods here are going to be exposed to stuff minors shouldn’t be. I can’t think of one good reason why it’s a good idea to have minors monitoring adult content 🤦‍♀️

so why is it a good idea to have under 18yo ******** in a room that is open to ages 13+. I mean they are being exposed to 'adult' and illegal content as well yeah?

One thing I can think of is that ******** can use the ignore feature, and set their pms to friends only, limiting who can send them content. Mods don’t have that choice. I actually encourage my friends to set their pms to friends only tbh.

The general chat is for users who are 13 years or older, but that does not mean that they are mature enough to deal with everything that may happen there. Eh, I don't know.

I think it might also be important to point out that in (removed) particular case, she is a resident and citizen of Australia which has quite strict legislation regarding knowingly exposing minors to prohibited online content. @Chatmaster I highly suggest you not only check the legislation, but also think about the repercussions of knowingly hiring minors to sift through prohibited or inappropriate online content.

Firstly, I’d love for you to point out these ‘strict legislations’ that are intimidating me with (which are just as strict as USA, Canada, UK, etc.), and secondly, if you really want to have your day in court with me and my parents and guardian, let’s have at it.

I welcome you to explain why you’re attempting to single me out in this debate when there are at least 10 or more under 18 moderators/admin on here. It’s obvious you meant your post only for me.

I’m so tired of adults coming at me with these bully tactics, threatening us and telling us to get out.

I’d think if you really cared, you’d be more about finding better ways to remove the criminals, not punishing the kids and telling us to shut up and get out. Instead your genius solution is no, leave the criminals. Get rid of the kids! Threaten them with all sorts of legal action. They don’t know better.

Talk about cutting off one’s nose to spite one’s face.
